I was gonna buy at least like 4 platinum founder packs one for me and each of the boys.
Won’t be doing that without OCE servers, we deserve better than having to connect half way around the world to play with someone in the same house.

was going to purchase a platinum pack on steam until I realized there are no OCE servers planned.
Been waiting for this game since 2018, but I’m not going to throw away money on decisions that don’t factor in our regions enjoyment

Please consider adding Oceanic servers. 250+ ping is going to make endgame a pain and PvP a no go.

No oceanic servers because the of rest asia pacific (SEA), which otherwise would connect to said servers like in new world, has no access to the game.

As everyone else has said, OCE servers might be the difference maker for me. I’m sure we can PvE fine with a 200 ping, but PvP is going to be hell, and that’s a big part of the endgame of MMOs for me.

Okay so, I figure even if we don’t have servers at launch, I’d still play on an NA server but I wont take my time on there to seriously. Guess I’ll just do a bunch of main story quests then go Fishing or something for most of my time lol. I bought the Plat founders pack but I wont be claiming them while on the NA server. I’ll wait for when we get the OCE server to put in some serious time into the game. (I still wish for a server on launch though)

Like a lot of us here I also got excited when Australia was added into the region support list. I was about to purchase the platinum pack on Steam straight away but decided to at least make sure I am able to play on playable ping. Looks like if we only have NA and Europe servers we will be getting at least 160 ping (with ExitLag)
For reference I played Lost Ark on JP servers with the translation mod for a month with ExitLag and Cloudflare WARP. It was about 120ping which I thought would be low latency but for some reason with such fast combat this ping was still unplayable for me and I wasn’t able to purchase the microtransactions…so I decided to wait for the Amazon release hoping for Oceania servers. So if I really wanted to play on lower ping I would just perform a few extra steps. A lot of Australians are already doing this so you won’t be much more profitable after only allowing Australians access to NA servers.
I think after New World release and Elyon release we can see that MMOs are bound to lose player numbers really quick…I hope Amazon are not leaving out Oceania because they believe Lost Ark will be the same as New World where the player base will just drop drastically.
I imagine Amazon will try to figure the best way to release in Oceania by gauging demand…because when they released a few New World servers in Australia last time they had 10,000 people queues and they added more servers…the demand quickly died down in days and servers became dead in weeks.
They won’t know if Oceania is profitable enough to keep servers for because there are not many Australians who are willing to preorder unless they know they will have servers here or unless they know that the game is received well.
So I think a great solution for us is to take advantage of the eager Australians who have been waiting for a playable MMORPG (that did not like New World)- for Lost Ark to announce at least 1 Oceania server so that in the first few weeks you will be able to see the demand from Australians and to see if it’s worth setting up more Oceania servers.
I think it’ll become clear very fast that there will be massive demand for Lost Ark. And if not then that 1 server will continue to thrive as those in SEA will most likely play on the Australian server as well.
Hopefully our opinion and feedback counts…

+1 for OCE servers. I’ve been hoping for this game to be available for OCE for years, please don’t underestimate OCE with this amazing looking game like newworld on release and not bring enough servers even though newworld is a fail and dying.
