Then your mom just replied “NO! It’s against this house rules, if you want to go to Valtran house use the usual route and no sleepover!”
You then consider if it’s still worth playing the most wanted game 'Journey to Amazon" or should you go back to Fantastic14… the thought of refunding this Christmas present game comes through your head…
Not being able to use a VPN from Australia a legitimate region is just silly. Its like they are 10 years behind in a lot of their decisions. They dont understand the Western gamers very well imo.
We can complain all we want, it not going to change anything until well after launch. AGS waiting to see if there is a sizeable Oceanic population to host a server for us. This is a free to play game after all, low Oceanic population = no profit to even host a server for couple hundred people…
Tell that to the thousands of oceanic players paying for founders packs. We dont want to see our money locked to another server if they decide to open up Oceanic servers after launch due to demand. Better to complain now about incoming problems.
And thousands will get banned. I didnt pay for a plat pack to risk getting banned because I want faster ping from a legit region. I dont make the rules, if they want to ban they will and its already been stated they will.
So can you guarantee I won’t get blocked or any other sort of penalty using VPN to connect to NA West playing from Australia?
Playing using VPN to get a better ping will putting me at risk right?
What she said and what the actual TOS reads is different. The TOS only states that the game is only available in certain places and any technology or technique you use to obscure or disguise said locations is a bannable offence.
Chances are it’s a blanket statement to make sure nobody misinterprets anything else she might have said.
This basically says you can’t play the game in a country it isn’t available in, and you cannot use any technology or technique (VPNs in this case) to obscure or disguise (pretend you’re in the country the game is available) to change your location.
This is the concern I have. LOST ARK Warning Sometimes the game publisher could block the public IP of mudfish nodes. This is off the mudfish VPN site and some users have stated they had been blocked. Until I see an official post saying its ok to use a VPN in legitimate regions I wont be putting my plat pack on the line.
Seeing all the replies from the Lost Ark official twitter saying “at this time there are no plans to set up servers for Australia…” gets me down in the dumps, but I am hopeful that after launch and the data rolls in Smilegate and Amazon will realize the size of the oce market.
I’ll be using VPN with my plat pack. Been using VPN all my life on games with such ‘TOS’ as well. No way they can detect and I have never gotten banned before. I’m willing to bet my $100 that AGS is not so free to investigate paying customers who are playing legitimately.
I live about an hour outside of a major city. WIthout having my VPN turned on, I was getting about 240ms ping to AWS California servers, with VPN set to auto route just on 200ms. It’s not great that’s for sure
