Please reconsider revising your approach to RMT

IDK man, I look at the crystal prices and it’s pretty disgusting to see that we’re already at Russian price.

The second people no longer need to buy guardian/destruction fragments, people are going to see exactly how bad this situation is.

I had to get into a long argument about the gold deflation with someone who thinks this is just natural as people graduate tiers, and it’s not a problem because gold is easy to make from selling mats.

I tried my best to explain how little gold is available to be generated via normal means on weekly basis, and the very reason why people have tens of thousands of gold to throw around to buy your mats at such high price is because all of these gold have already flown into the economy, whether it was directly from RMT buyers, or people who exchanged gold legitimately via ingame from those who bought gold through RMT.

It was like talking to a brick wall as he kept insisting that the gold deflation was not real.

LMAO. This can’t be a real amazon support response, is it?

You’d be surprised. There are even emails received that has jumbled copy past of 3 different emails, saying different things in very incoherent way.

2FA will also make it harder. In the thread the OP had the idea of Captcha on a once per day limit triggered by player reports.

All 3 of these together, there will be no more lazy macros, it will be hard to multibox, less people will do it, thus making bans more effective, RMT gold more sparce and more expensive, so less people will buy, or even be able to buy.

Banning buyers is not the solution, because you do not know who is and isn’t a buyer. Make the RMT market less accessible than your in-game shop, and the problem fixes itself.

Yikes. Can we get some native english speaking support Amazon? No wonder we can’t get anything resolved.

I mean you don’t even have a way to track your ticket in their system outside of asking livechat, and I’ve had my ticket magically disappear several times already after being told to wait for response in next 24-72 hours.

The RMT “policy” floating around isn’t accurate to all situations. there are a number of factors that go into the severity of bans that we track, however unfortunately I cannot post outright what the parameters are as I don’t want to invite circumvention.

Regardless, these policies adjust and change depending on circumstance as well, so it’s not really ideal for these things to be shared outright as fact – I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

As stated in the previous megathread on this topic, a wide swath of folks having the “commerce lock” issues were found to be purchasing gold from fraudulent/third party sellers. This was a situation that we escalated for investigation because we felt it was important, but moving ahead, it isn’t feasible to have ban appeals happen through the forums (especially considering the sensitivity of player information that is often shared in these situations). We are working to ensure that the appeals process through CS his something that is done with care and vigilance.

@Roxx Is anything going to be done to stabilize the market from the damage that bots/gold buyers have done? For an example, legendary engravings are unbearable. They went from 3-5k to 20k over night.

I understand locking or removing megathread that contains player information. But could you ask them to have a better separation between the false ban of Commerce Lock and the ban of purchasing gold?

Instead of saying that “There are gold buyers among the Commerce Lock ban”.
Change the gold buyers ban reason to RMT, and lift the ban of those who got falsely banned because of TRUE Commerce Lock.

This is all well and good but have you looked at the sheer incompetence happening through your in game support channels, I submitted an appeal and instantly got 10 emails from Amazon saying the same thing, then 20 minutes later an email from a CS saying I cannot contact them I have to submit an appeal, and to use link provided by them, which was the same link the ingame button took me too,

so I filled it out again, instantly received another 10 automated emails and then again another email from a CS saying the same thing as before except this time it has a US phone number attached to it, even though I live in the UK, I tried calling and it was Amazon.com main customer service

And still all I’m being told is I have to file an appeal but when I file this appeal I’m told again that I can’t do that and I’ve to file an appeal.

What is actually going on this is insane

I played with someone who got hit with the Commerce Lock ban, and combining the utter lack of help from AGS support, the helplesness he feels from being unable to truly contact support, and the frustration from the people accusing him now of RMT, he is pretty disillusioned with Lost Ark now. This is someone who had spent 300+ hours since launch and bought multiple founder packs. Even if he were to be unbanned today, he may not continue to play because of this experience. And rightly so, after such terrible treatment, how is he able to trust that they wouldn’t treat him so poorly again?

Watching him go through this experience and seeing the way AGS is handling all this is also impacting my enthusiasm for the game, and diminishing my trust in this game being a worthwhile investment of time and money.

It is totally understandable that you cannot share any parameters.

However, does this actually mean that people can get away with 24 hour slap on the wrist from getting involved in RMT if the degree is not severe?

Because if that is the case, it’s a horrendous standard and an insult to those who are currently permanent banned without even clear reason.

so if you get caught for RMT its maybe a 24h ban,

but if you get caught up in the bot ban wave for some reason, and they see something strange during the “investigation” they just keep the perm ban?

Based on Roxx’s previous comment of the RMT perman ban, you only got perman banned if you purchased a “substantial amount” of gold.
