Thank you for releasing this game with all its new patches and translated vo/txt, I know alot of SEA players doesn’t bother checking official forums but I can tell you that there’s alot of us wanting this game to come to our region, SEA countries include Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam (only ones I know).
Please consider removing the region block and give us a dedicated server, I know its too much to ask but IF our only option is to OCEANIC then we’ll take it, BUT even so we’ll be still playing on 120-150ms.
Fans of this game from SEA regions are scattered around globally, some just go on with 280ms+ RU servers, some plays on KR and JP servers praying not to get banned and others hoping to have a SEA server on AGS’ ver release.
Please consider a SEA server, usually its being hosted in SG or TH but anywhere IS FINE as long as we don’t fear getting banned and can play this game like normally like what AGS did with New World. Hopefully a SEA server will fix our ping issues, I can guarantee you a huge population that will come from all these countries and maintain a loyal player base just because this has been anticipated in SEA in almost 3 years.
+1 I am Australia player but strongly support SEA to be included in LA Western.
If somehow we don’t get OCE server make it SEA server as alternative it shall give us better ping than connecting to NA server
we are at the mercy of Smilegate sadge. Been hyped for this game since it came out in Korea. Its out in Japan and will be coming to Taiwan. So close yet so far. I hope this doesn’t turn out like Blade & Soul where we never get a SEA server and have to play with horrid ping for English localization, or lower ping in an unknown language like the Taiwan server.
Honestly, I believe Smilegate wants the best for players so they can have a long sustainable revenue, it’s mostly the publishers that screw things up since they want a large portion of the profit for minimal work, and often such requests go in conflict with what Smilegate wants for their game. Publishing in the SEA region is not that hard, it is just estimated revenue may not be as much as other regions to be worth the effort, Smilegate will have to give in more if they want to publish here.
I used to love playing Blade and Soul but the latency made me quit. That game is very heavy ping dependent and even with VPN it still give me 150-200ms on average. But that BnS, when I played Lost Ark on beta 200-250ms open world is doable a bit lag but still we can reach end game with that latency.
However, doing rank PvP content + future raid when its open that would be challenging and that’s when we need local server.
Also I heard there is some event with island or similar like that end game activities that ties with local server time (it will be “interesting” to see how AGS/Smilegate handle this)
