According to the leaked roadmap we will get one class a month, which is too slow. Drip feeding classes will just turn away people who are waiting for their main. If you want people to play the newest raids, let them do it with the class they want to play. There are a lot of people who are already stopping progression on their current main to build up resources for upcoming classes. There is no reason to delay the classes past april, since that’s when the upcoming KR balance patch will be out. Yes new classes means new marketing opportunities, but there will be new classes coming out anyways (Aeromancer, female berserker) so you’ll have plenty of marketing opportunities with those. Some of these classes have been in the game for years and there is no reason to withhold them for upwards of 6 months. Hell even artist which is the newest class shouldn’t be arriving in the west that late. If the goal is to catch up NA/EU with KR sooner or later anyways, might as well add all the classes ASAP.
Just to clarify, Roxx stated they’ll be coming out every 2-3 months not every month. But Roxx will voice the players feedback.
I agree, 1 old class every 2-3 months is too long. We need to keep making noise about this until they get the point and act on it. If there’s a way we can get the content creators in on this, that might help too.
I personally would be happy with 2 classes per month, though honestly 1 per month isn’t that awful. I’m not sure why they are saying 2-3 months when the leaked roadmap had 2 classes in 3 months? Unless that roadmap is REALLY off and the release is much slower…
I’m sure they probably want to drip feed classes because they believe it will be more profitable, and it probably will be.
It does really suck for the players, though.
I would really hope ags, and smilegate rethinks this, the wait for lost ark to come out in NA/EU was painful to then be told i potentially have to wait 15 months to play the one class that really appeals to me feels really horrible.
