Please Revisit Class Release Cadence Decision

Mate, i commend the effort you put into your replies to these people. Lord knows i would have quit talking to them after 5 min.
I agree wholeheartedly with you and i guess we just have to accept that some people are ok with being served soupes with flies in them.

Let me just ask a question that might be dumb to someone, but it’s genuine curiosity:

What’s the problem about releasing the complete KR class roster day 1?

As long as I can remember, CONTENT is the thing that glue players to your game, not “new” class release.

There are games out there that release whole new content every 2 years and never released a new class since 2016, and if you ask me, they are doing pretty good.

Can’t tell the same for LA

hard fat +1 to that

My main is 1475, my best alter is 1430 the other 5 are 1370 with 2k+ ghl on some of them and a lot of Guardian and Destro crystalns on the roster storage because I had the feeling (considering my bad luck) that the moment I chose to get my other alter 1415 they would grant us one honning buff, and thx God I waited.

And it is underwhelming for others to not have those classes/schedule but the difference is that if you HAVE those classes you have a choice, if they don’t release them you DON’T have said choice, so you’re just being selfish bc u’re fine with it.

At least if the classes are there you have the option to do said content on them and save materials until you can upgrade them instead of having an empty space on your roster or having a character you don’t enjoy playing. And guess what? Some ppl could be able to upgrade those 3 classes with that schedule.

I disagree, the same happened with Argos and the ‘‘FOMO’’ ppl that couldnt do it day 1 but that was because SG released Argos with higher GS and without all the methods of obtaining materials so only whales and veterans/no lifers were able to reach (no lifer here). It wasn’t really a pacing problem.

They think they can milk people delaying class releases, it’s their busines plan. Even if it’s not going to work.

I would like to add to this point the fact, that if players have all the classes they like to play, then they will spend more time ingame, which in turn COULD make them spend money on it, but ultimately, the point is to attract and keep player playing so they have high active playerbase. With the player being cut off from their preferred classes they spend less time in-game.

This is 200% true.

Clases are content when the game is ‘‘finished’’ on in a state of ‘‘waiting for further development’’ like they’re in Korea and that’s why their data might show returning players.

We’re not on the same position as them and I would love to see the numbers on our 2 class releases, how many returning players did we have and the profit they made.

I’m preeeeetty sure they didn’t bring the amount of players or profit they expected so they in turn decided to slow down on them to hype them more and create more expectation but the result is going to be the same if not worst.

The worst part is that even the data they will get is heavily corrupted.

Let’s see if the Arcanist numbers are a little more clean but there’s bots already returning in considerable numbers who knows what will happen in a month.

Lol we can but it’s a completely different topic ??? We’re not talking about players quitting in general, but players quitting because of the class decision.

???

If bots didn’t interfered with the data, it would have been extremely simple. Especially in the case of the class announcement, it came alone and even with Vykas announcement as a damage control.

It’s called retention and that’s why they can’t apply the same strategy as the korean version.

Uh ? Yes, you are basically repeating what I just said. So what’s the point, considering that even with that pace they will not be released after the content drought but before ? Only the last one which is Artist will benefit from the content drought situation.

Of course but with earlier class release too, lol. What was even that point ?

The question is simple do they lose more money by releasing classes slowly in the middle of the progression phase ? Which makes dedicated players who waited 4 months to play the desired class quit.

Or do they lose more money by releasing them fast ? Making Artist not available for the content drought phase, but Aeromancer will be.

Stop turning around.

I quit the game when I read that they were switching to a 2 month release schedule. Have not logged in since. And honestly, I probably never will.

I check these forums from time to time to see what is going on in the community, state of the game, Etc. But thats been about it.

Playing the game without the class you’d like to be feels like a massive chore.

“Preparing” for 2-4-8 months before you get to experience the game the way you want simply puts people away.

I look forward to the day I can go to the Summoner thread and say “AGS took Summoner away for X amount of time.” With it not being a variable anymore. Though a part of me expects that thread to end with “AGS took Summoner away and now Sunset came before Summoner returned. Cue Avatar opening.”

When people are asking for classes faster and they decide to release them slower, don’t consider me very optimistic.

now that we getting a QOL for tripod the suppose released classes is getting shafted as they then need to grind the tripod from 0 rather than having 6 lv4 to begin the grind… BUMP!
