Amazon adapted a new approach of releasing new class with a raid for a while now:

Machinist/kuku
Summoner/Normal Brel
Artist/Hard Brel

Acts both as a seasonal content drop and means to maximize profit through honing class to current raid.

Yes, it’s cool to see what people (the playerbase) think though ^^

You guys acting like Smilegate or Amazon would care your opinion. Just like you dont care my opinion, Smilegate dont care your/our opinion.
They will do what they planned regardless we want it or not.

And these polls doesnt matter. 1% of the concurrent player voted and 59% of the 1% thinks the roadmap is bad. Thats 0,5% of the concurrent players if all of them are active players.
(if we calculating with close to the real players (around 100k) then its still 3,2% voted and 1,8% think its bad)

Is this representing anything? No.

3k votes = 1% x 100 = 300k concurrent players?

Lost Ark bots cant vote in reddit polls, btw!

Thats why I wrote this.

I mean it represents more than you do, so that’s good enough for me

Then its representing that 98,2% of the real players are totally ok with the roadmap or dont give a sh*t about the roadmap.

98.2% of the “real players” are not even real, so you’ll have a hard time coming up with a number that actually means anything.

What do you mean they are not real? I think there is 100k concurrent player out of 320k.
When I wrote 98,2% I calculated with 100k real concurrent player out of 320k (which is 336k but who cares).

But if we cant tell the real number (or close to it) then it can be 250k real player too or 300k or maybe just 10k. This is why this whole poll thing doesnt matter, because you cant compare it with real player numbers. (based on by what you just said)

Can you tell about that 1888 reddit user that they really playing the game? How long or how often they play the game and of course the total real player number?
No, you cant → The result is worthless.

I would call it disingenuous instead

A lot of people know that the forums are comprised of a small subset of people that play, including myself, and a smaller subset that don’t for reasons

However putting a poll up and saying “SEE 80% OF THE PEOPLE AGREE” when that 80% comprised of 80/100 people who took it

Yeah, tad bit of grandstanding unfortunately

It falls in the same realm of “BUT LOOK AT HOW MANY VIEWS THIS POST GOT, THAT MEANS PEOPLE ARE IN AGREEMENT” where in reality knowing how many unique, individual views would give a better picture (along with the fact that mods will keep those posts going so the same people just stay there instead of making 10 more to delete)

Lotta people forget that this is an echo chamber just like anywhere else, and just because 10 accounts agree with you doesn’t mean everyone else will

Food for thought

73.28% of all statistics are made up.

True but often barely 10k ppl will reply to a survey with a game 100k players. Same applies IRL.

Having a few thousand as a subset allows general approximation to a greater mass, it’s often how surveys are done IRL anyway.

A) How do we know the people who voted actually play the game?
B) The people who go to a poll on the topic of Westernisation are more likely to feel strongly one way or the other about the topic so how does this represent the playerbase?
C) Stop making new threads on this topic so we can focus on the important stuff, like her release date and the in-roster pheon costs

Good questions.

A) You don’t really. But it is only on the Lost ark subreddit/forums. Same can be said if you sent out a survey to registered accounts. A lot of those accounts probably don’t play anymore. Would be super hard without me being in charge of some technical requirements to do that (make sure ppl who only played game voted).
B) That’s why there is a “I don’t care” option
C) I can make whatever poll I want to. So can you, why don’t you do some the work as well then? I don’t disagree those things aren’t just as important, but I am interested in the results of this because it’s political. Make your own poll?

While that is true, bias tends to run rampant in forums like this

And bias can lead to results getting swayed in a way that favors that bias

Along with the fact that those surveys don’t take in to account that people can take them more than once

There’s a reason why Boaty McBoatface and the Mountain Dew naming contest are memes at this point

For sure, but not on the subreddit. Ppl are often less biased and more liberal.

Also need an account to vote on reddit, sure it’s not hard to make loads, but idk, I don’t have technical capacity to stop spam accounts (Nor does AGS for a live game lol)

I never said you couldn’t make any poll you wanted to.

you do understand that theres like 10-20k real players in the game. others are bots.
