Eu west ping is dog in comparison, i doubt anyone moved because of the ping, its literally worse for everyone. And yes i know why people moved but those guys knew they would move on a region with maybe 5% maybe less of the playerbase. And amazon said they cant merge it later
Edit: i saw atleast 10 posts when euwest opened that the ping is dogshit no matter where you are. Most likely the server is just bad

Well if I had knew when I started that EUC servers had unending queues … Well I would have also picked EUW. Just out of convenience ?
There’s little to no reason to think that a fix to that problem would have any bad impact on EUC players and it would surely be a better gaming experience for EUW players. I fail to see a reason why anyone would be against it to be honest.
Tbh it felt later for me however amazon said they wont/ cant merge it. It was obv a low pop region and it was written all over the internet. Just short-sightedness, because like I said above this is an obvious problem for the game (and Amazon, after the New World fiasco ) as a whole. In every EUW thread there’s always 1-2 people like him who were frustrated by queues for weeks and now come to gloat with their “we told you so, your fault”. They usually graze around for a while, it doesn’t immediately click that they’re wasting time arguing over something that they think doesn’t affect them.
They can do the merge if they want to. They’d just prefer not doing it most likely.
If the game popularity goes down, it’s not the player’s fault the servers are dead, but it’s the game dev’s responsability to find a solution so that they can keep a good experience for those players who just made a server choice like anyone would do presented those 2 options. You live in EU West, you pick EU West, that’s simple and nobody would do any research about it before hand.
Im not against it lol. I only told you that it was dumb going west ( new players who didnt do research unlucky i guess) if you were planning on playing the game long term
Unlucky i guess that’s true. I didn’t have to suffer the queues but now I’m facing low population region. Hopefully they can find a solution other than “start over on EUC”. I invested too much in my current roster to start over again.
Queues wasn’t my main issue with EU West as I’m able to work remote and join the queue early. What made me move was the frustration to not be able to do endgame content due to the instanced server issues. And from my understanding this kept going for weeks after EU West was created(?). O also had friends who started fairly late and had not invested as much time as me, so I convinced us to move as the queue was a more severe issue for them.
Merging servers sure isn’t rocket science, but it is definitely not an easy task. But I do believe that it is something the devs should look into. PvP is a big part of the longevity in the game, and if PvP queues are going to continue to take up to 5 minutes with the same people and skewed matchmaking, many are most likely going to throw in the towel and move on.
Nothing they can do about euw,its gonna die off even more as days pass,they cant merge and there is no other solution.In my eyes Euw was always meant for new players that wanted to try the game out and see if they liked it but didnt want to wait in queues on Euc.

Servers arent bad, pop wise, its just AH that is verry hard for evry1 to buy stuff, market is inflated by RMters and bots, and wales or rmters are fliping the market at they’re will due to shortage of trinkets, engraving books etc.
Ofc there isnt alot parties like EUC for any type of content, nor suports for evry party, but thats is general in the game.
