I’ve seen millions of videos and posts about the bot issue now. I know it’s a thing. I’ve seen them. Everyone has their own idea on how to fix this issue. Well here’s my two cents.
Since it seems that there is no plans for AGS or SG to post employees to sit in Luterra or in Vern to ban bots. Why not hire players?
Here me out. So right now the market has gone to hell because of bots and RMT. Everything is absolutely of the walls expensive. So make an incentive for players to make gold banning bots.
The breakdown:
-Have players that are willing to do this fill out a form. Have it maybe say that they will only target bots. If they begin targeting players, their own account will be banned and the players reinstated.
-Players can only work for say 1-2hrs doing bot bans. Most players will finish their dailies and have maybe an hour or two they’re willing to kill.
-Payment would be something like 5-10g per bot banned or maybe 1-2k gold per hour banning bots. So at the end of their shift, they walk away with like 2-4k gold. Not too much, but enough to entice some players to take on the task.
This is just a small idea. Probably not realistic. I think it’s a good idea, imo. I’d gladly sit in Vern, listen to a podcast for an hour, and ban bots for extra gold income. How else am I gonna buy them legendary book engravings.
