Recently it was confirmed by Roxx we are getting the Tripod update next week exactly as KR got it.
If you do not know SPECIFICALLY how to prepare for this tripod update I highly recommend you watch this video. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS PROPERLY YOU WILL LOSE YOUR TRIPOD WITHOUT COMPENSATION. Make sure you are saving your tripods TO YOUR INVENTORY, it is highly recommended you do not simply raw tap your tripods on your gear. Again all TRIPODS on ALL TYPES OF GEAR WILL BE DELETED!
Edit: If you are wondering why this is so important heres why:
This update is arguably the most important update for anyone regardless of class. This is your only opportunity EVER to have a 100% chance to get any or all lv5 Tripods on your character
If you have any important tripods equipped on your character and they are not saved in your Tripod inventory, in one of the inventory pages, you will no longer have that tripod when the update goes live. This means even if you have a lv5 tripod equipped on your gear it will be deleted if it wasnt already saved in your tripod inventory before the update next week.
Tripods affect all characters and is arguably the most effective way and cheapest way to significantly boost the strength of your character, even if it is a support. If you care about having a well geared toon, having high lv tripods takes precedence over ilvl or even 5x3, it’s that important.
Again once the tripod update goes live you WILL NOT be able to 100% guarantee lv 5 tripods on your character ever. This is your last chance to improve the strength of your character for what is worth hundreds of thousands of gold, or hundreds of dollars at very low success rates, for practically nothing at 100% rate. Do not miss this or you will regret it.
THIS ALL OF THIS IT CANNOT BE STRESSED ENOUGH. The tripods on your gear DO NOT MATTER. Save all the ones you WANT OR NEED IN YOUR TRIPOD INVENTORY! Thank you.
I cannot link a video, if Roxx and the team sends the message and spams it in game, people will naturally check the website and the forum. If they see this thread and others they can know exactly what to do. Would be great if they had a detailed article like they do reaper though, specifically detailing the tripod changes and even linking ATK’s video in it. This is the best I can do honestly.
So, I just want to make sure I am understanding these coming changes correctly, but the only sure way to correctly save and store your tripods are to have them saved at level 4? That you cannot stack, say have two level 3’s of the same skill saved on different pieces of gear and save them that way?
Yo ! You should go easy with the fearmongering. If people don’t save their tripods in Library they basically loose theim whenever they swap from Purple to Legendary gear or from Legendary gear to Relic gear, already. Like if you haven’t ever saved your equipped tripods in your Library right now, you’re probably not even 1370 so who cares.
People have already saved tripods in their library, unless they’re not even 1370 and don’t know what tripod-Library is to begin with, in which case it really doesn’t matter since lvl2 tripods are 100% chance of success after patch, they’ll get all of these in no time anyway.
And Finally, while this update is a good opportunity for players to get lvl 5 tripods for free, it still has a significative cost (basically 200 pheons + tripods price for a full set of 18 tripods, that’s already close to 50,000g) for something you’ll get overtime anyway. Not that it’s something wrong, the opportunity is very good and going from lvl4 to lvl5 tripod is definitely a very good player power increase, but it is still fomoing here because you’ll get these over-time anyway. Not fomo-ing yourself on the tripods release, especially if you can work just fine with 6 lvl5 (which you should already have by now) and saving 50,000g in the process is a valid path as well, especially for alts.
This why I’m not making any class unless it’s brand new like female zerk and onward imagine not having full tripods for one of the original classes in lost ark
I saved my tripods months ago for all my classes I have now, used all slots have tripods for both class engravings and chaos dungeons
I think the more likely situation is not a complete loss, but loss of ‘most recent’ improvements.
If someone has an alt at 1370 for months, and has gradually upped their engravings over time, they’re the most likely to lose out. Many players will save to inventory when they start getting the next tier of gear – not when they’re parked.
yeah basically, I mean remember people to save their tripods in Library is definitely a good thing !
I’m more skeptical about the fearmongering around buying tripods in the market to get a not-so-free 18 lvl5 tripod setup. People act like to HAVE to do it. I have 6 characters above 1490 item lvl and yes I’ve spend the gazillion of pheons for it. Now would I do it on my non-gold 1430 characters ? Clearly not. Would I do it if I was parking my alts at 1445/1460 just for gold generation ? Clearly not. I’ve only done it because I have the gold for it (and the need for it as well, since I’m planning on going 6x Brel G6 asap). If your characters are chilling, you can just get theim over-time and the update make this twice easier.
It’s a good opportunity true, but still skeptical about the fearmongering. The update also brings increase chance of transfer and new 1490 chaos almost exclusively drop relic tripods, so you definitely get these over-time there is no need for fomo here, especially if you already have like your 6 bests tripods at lvl5 already.
You can lose your pods if you havent saved them in your inventory pages and people don’t know that. I just gave the full scope. Not really trying to weigh in on FOMO or no FOMO because thats irrelevant. This is objectively one of if not the most affordable way to put power into your toon, and if no one told you it’s going to feel pretty crappy because it’s pretty easy/straight forward to do. I’d rather be over top about it and have someone to come to the conclusion they do not care, then be left in the dark, which is what AGS/SG did. But sure, if you are the type of individual that feels incredibly flippant about your tripods then you can certainly ignore this.

I just spent pheons buying tripod for 2 alts, beside my main. All others 3 alts will be sitting on 1445 for a long time now, so no need to spend on then. As u said, the new system will double the chance to transfer. Think it will be fine to get tripods on them, at least Lv4
