How much do grudge books sell for on KR and how much do they sell for on NA?

Just trying to point out that NA has ridiculous inflation due to the bots and RMT so their prices would have been whatever people were willing to pay. And when a lot of the playerbase has 500k+ gold from RMT gold from bots they’ll be willing to pay a lot more than they should.

Which is why na’s grudge books are more than KR’s right now, because of our RMT gold problems. I think they would have sold for 50k+ for each piece on NA

Maybe they’ll just add it back when the economy recovered from the bots, if ever.

For like the first few days maybe.

What you have to understand, is you can put a price on how much it costs on average to get 1 piece of a legendary skin.

It’s 11 purple skins + 900 blue crystals.

So for it to be 50k a piece, the cheapest purple skins would have to be 4k (they’re currently like 300-500g on NAW)

But then you have to remember, for every legendary piece, this generates 9 purple skins, which drives the price of purple skins to use in it down a bunch. That’s why in every other region the price started at like 40-50k and dropped to like 20k a few days later.

The removal of the Yoz Jar is the best decision AGS/SG have made to date.

I’ve said it before and I will continue to keep saying it in every thread that pops up about this.

I’m not arguing with your math. I agree if we had a normal market your price estimates are accurate.

Just pointing out that a lot of people on NA have 500k+ gold from RMT bots and this will 100% have a huge impact on prices which other regions didn’t have to deal with.

I think the price would drop after a week or two as more come into the market but your way of calculating the price taking accounting for the actual cost of the item won’t matter to a lot of the na playerbase that has stockpiles of RMT gold.

And sellers will list them for as much as they can regardless of how much it actually cost them. This is why are grudge books cost more than korea right now when they should be cheaper since our gold income is much less.

If the recent bot waves stay effective though, I think your estimates are spot on. Doesn’t matter though since we aren’t getting them.

No, Grudge books are expensive because there are only so many and you can’t just generate more. Plus most people want 20 of them eventually.

With legendary skins you can pretty much spam generate them without real limit, and people only really need 1 (most people aren’t going to get them for their alts for a while I would think).

I would say “what if the Yoz’s jar was released ?” If you don’t want to spend, you don’t. But why would you suppress this option from people who can / want to spend money ? Just because you are part of the majority that doesn’t want it doesn’t allow you to choose for the people in the minority, especially when the Yoz’s jar won’t have any impact on you and is not something you MUST buy.

I’m gonna be honest : I don’t like lootboxes. But I wouldn’t mind the Yoz’s jar. Why ? Because I would spend golds on the market to get the skin I want. And at least, I would get it. Now there is a chance that we will never get some of the best skins (hopefully I’m wrong !)

Ok I sort of agree with this but please answer this:

Would grudge books be selling for 20k on NA if players couldn’t go to a third party RMT site and buy 500k gold for like $100?

The na playerbase has SIGNIFICANTLY more gold than they should which has contributed to driving the prices to the crazy amounts we have seen.

I hope they remove honing and cards and item drops

Just checked, more like $674 for that, but yeah, some items are inflated sure.

The thing is, Grudge does not have a large supply.

With Legendary Skins, the supply is infinite and the price can’t just go to whatever random large number.

Remember, that for a single legendary skin piece to be 50k, the price of purple skins needs to be 4k+. However, with the gold exchange ratio right now, I can buy purple skins for effectively 1600g each using Royal Crystals (2k royal crystals = 3 skins, 2k royal crystals = 4700g).

This means if the legendary skins were for whatever reason higher prices, actual non-RMT whales would be better off spamming Yoz’s Jar instead of converting Royal Crystals to gold, which would increase supply and drive the price down.

This sort of puts a cap on the price of legendary skin pieces ~23-25k at current crystal prices once all the impatient people that just don’t care buy them.

I did exaggerate but Current RMT prices are at an all time due to recent bot bans. You were able to get like 200k gold for less than $100 in the past.

I get that but if something has a limited supply (like legendary skins would have for the first couple of weeks) and the people wanting to buy it have ridiculous amounts of gold, then what happens to the price of that item?

It goes up.

Grudge is a perfect example. Very high demand, limited supply, would result in high prices (like on KR).

Now throw in that everybody that wants to buy it has hundreds of thousands of cheap RMT gold into the mix, you get it going for 20k when an average player can only reliably make 40-50k gold a week.

It doesn’t have a limited supply. You can print infinite. The only limiter is how fast you can spam Yoz’s jar, and anyone can do it even f2p players since Yoz’s jar is available for blue crystals and purple skins are on the AH for gold.

We’ve seen Yoz’s jar in other regions, and the price tanked in every one after a few days (according to people who played in those regions at least).

Remember if the skins are overpriced, it makes Yoz’s jar very profitable, so people will spam it, which brings the price down.

If skins are 50k, and it only costs 10-23k on average to get one, then people will just be spamming Yoz’s jar because it’s free money. That’s why the price can’t just remain arbitrarily high. It’s not like grudge where the supply is just dictated by RNG drops. Those people with the 500k RMT gold are going to be spending it on skins and Yoz’s Jar to farm more gold.

What do you mean there are 10’s of them stop trolling.

we all are…

the majority are bots ¯_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯

Thanks for the info and explanation. Prices definitely wouldn’t have been as bad as I was thinking after a few days/week.

A fewPeople went on the forum bandwagon without leaning the facts.

Now no skins for us.

checks market
not even 2 pages of costumes
infinite :+1:

Maybe whatever region your on has infinite pages of costumes on the market tough, i’ll trust you if that’s what you’re claiming ~

Are you on EUW or something?

There’s 11 pages on NAW, and the amount of pages doesn’t matter, because that’s just the count of how many individual skin pieces exist multiplied by how many times they can be traded. You can’t actually see how many skins there are anywhere because one of those could have like 500 listed for example and you can only see the 10 lowest price points.

And since you continue to fail to actually read anything, with the price of crystals, if skins go up too much then it will just be more profitable for whales to sell skins instead of converting royal crystals to gold, which keeps the price of skins down (that and Yoz’s Jar flooding the market with purple skins from the jar).

We have the data from multiple regions, the skins don’t end up being that expensive, and the price equalizes after a few days when people understand how everything converts and how all the different things are related. Tbh would probably be even faster on our version, someone would probably make a reddit post and google sheet explaining how all the prices and currencies are related and people would quickly optimize the prices.
