I feel like the NA mentality is extremely selfish and I find the amount of people months into the game still showing up to content with subpar gear with wrong stats and multiple negative engravings a little out of hand. I hear the excuse that they are alts but if you can’t gear your alt properly for the content it’s doing you shouldn’t be playing it and you have too many characters you clearly can’t support. It gets tiring every day to have to legit carry dead weight in daily content because they cant be asked to put in any effort into their characters. This isn’t just a massive issue even at low-end content I’ve seen 1440+ characters with completely trash setups just showing up to get a carry. Sometimes it’s so bad that if I wasn’t in the group there’s no way these people would have cleared the content.
At some point 1000s of hours into the game, you guys need to learn the etiquette for parties, use your battle items, and properly build your characters. It is not that expensive to gear alts and if you can’t afford to give them battle items or proper gear then you shouldn’t be playing them. It gets tiring every day to drop 50% of the raid damage in daily content and be the only one flaring and using Pheromones. I still occasionally get the odd 7-8 minute yoho run where people are just dropping dead 5 seconds in and doing wet noodle damage.
Please for the love of god stop being so stingy with your alts. They give us plenty of free crap and you have no excuse anymore. This selfish behavior of showing up to everything expecting to get carried for free is going to backfire for you at some point because the community will inevitably start gatekeeping more and more as it’s already trending. I manage 9 characters free to play at various levels that all have the minimum gear to do proper damage and they are all loaded with battle items to assist the party complete the raid so you have literally 0 excuses. If you can’t afford to do that it’s time to cut back on your alts. It’s not fair we have to carry you every single day and spend all our resources because you don’t want to. Don’t click the match-making button if you know you have no pots/flares/pheromones and you’re rocking crazy awful gear. I’m not your daddy or your babysitter grow the fuck up and have some respect for people in-game.
Does this apply to my 1370 Paladin with 3x3 engravings (Blessed aura, Expert, Awakening) and correct stats being put into Argos P2 party? If it is… Ya got me. Guilty as charged
There’s many people who don’t read guides, who dont know how to gear
They dont even use the marketplace, they just pick the best accessories that they find and continue to play the game for fun without worrying about these things because it never crossed their mind that it is actually necessary (it really isn’t)
Not necessarily agreeing with all of OPs points, but in general I believe more players than you’d think should know game by now (e.g. 1340+, especially 1370+) expect others to use battle items, etc. and at least partially carry them / leech for free.
Not saying they explicitly think ‘I want a free carry’, maybe they think really are trying, but while lack of engravings might be debated with cost of gearing alts vs don’t play that extra alt of can’t afford relatively cheap 3x3 build, lack of using battle items has zero excuse given the hundreds of boxes we’ve all been given via events, fever time, etc.
So I now always click to stop raid or just leave group and take 9 min penalty for using matchmaker whenever someone in group refuses to flare on their turn.
And I’m not expecting everyone to know Korea / Russia party order system - I ask if ppl want to go party order, reverse order, suggest another system that fairly divided using items, don’t give a damn, just pick one.
If anyone refuses, threatens to report, death threats etc, I just say click raid stop and if party doesn’t agree just take the penalty for leaving and spend 9 min using life energy or goto next alt.
Not being good at game and dying is completely understandable. Not throwing flare or so cheap can’t even use green pots made only with silver is leeching plain and simple. Refuse to carry them, just leave. Voting with your wallet or feet in this case is only option - no amount of debate will change these leech peoples minds. Just leave.
i saw a reflux sorc with 1500 crit running precise dagger, adrenaline, relfux, all out attack and was very confused on the PD & adren. why need so much crit? lol
I met a glaiver by the name “SoyaMilk” something alike in argos with ilv 1430 yet 3 engravings only one of them is grudge and yet he kept spamming complains at my char with absolute killer engravings 5x3 1x1. Meanwhile in raid he kept being a burden getting hit non stop and dying, little did he realised he was being an absolute burden and useless as fake dps, as i did 3x more dmg than him constantly.
Yes these type of people does exist always looking for easy carry yet refuse to admit they are complete garbage.
