This morning I started back on my ripe banana farming, and what I did is instead of bouncing back and forth between the spawns, I ran a circle around that small area to build up death orbs so I could one-shot the apes every time… and for some reason, maybe the time of day? I’m seeing a MUCH better drop rate this morning…

I’ve been at it for about 20 minutes now and unlike the 3 I got the other day in 3 hours, I’ve gotten 5 already!

I’m starting to the droprate may be best in the morning, btw it’s currently 5:20 AM EST here… so I started at 5 AM EST.

Something to consider.

I Have 82% and didn’t farm the banana recipe

you are better off farming for punika collectibles than doing the banana recipe.

that should get you to 80% easy

Finished all collectibles, am at 79.6^

Either have to do rapport to trusted for one, bananas, or purification daily x7
Currently I’m doing all 3, so whichever I finish first…
Btw, I just got my ten bananas, took forever…
and I finish Purification x7 today thanks to alts.

While you’re right, and I do think Lost Ark takes the idea of “work” way too far… in general no matter what we do, we are working toward something… the problem with the way Lost ark does it is with Casino Mechanics so they are forced to hinder the f2p aspects at every single turn, trying to get the player to spend money… which makes every aspect of the game less fun and more work.

Agreed. I will say this again for the folks that don’t get it:

  • I can level from 1 to 50 by playing the game. It isn’t “work”. It isn’t “grind”. It isn’t “casino”.
  • Why can’t I do the same type of progression past 50? Why does it have to stop and convert to a grindy, casino simulator? Why couldn’t they just put in levels 51-100 and make it take the EXACT same amount of time as it takes to get from iLevel 302 to iLevel (whatever)? Accomplished by just playing the game (Rohendel, Yorn, etc. etc.)

I agree, the game is definitely more fun if you just avoid honing and raiding altogether.

What? For some the grind is the fun part. You expect to get everything for free? You aren’t playing the right genre if you think the grind is too tough.

got it without the moake food, the 10 bananas or leaves one by getting nia to trusted and doing everything else… just saying, dont have to do the bananas!

A little bit like the Donut Maiden in the Lutera tome… except you have to buy a ton of breadcrumbs, use them to get a chance of becoming a Donut Servant, then donut butler… then finally becoming the Donut maiden…
Using up a ton of silver in the meantime…

There are others that are a grind too.

I got 80% without that. Sitting at almost 90 in punika now with just 2/8 Rapport and missing that banana RNG food.

hmm… I got all the food, except for the one that drops from the boss, done on the day I finished Punkia… the bananas where a little grindy, but that was the same for Rohendel snails and Yorn mushrooms.

No flame but how slow are you killing them. There’s a spot where you can spam kill between two 2 spawns, netting you around 2-3 kills per minute.
