Dear Community, Dear AGS Staff, Dear Community-Manager,

i have a simple but important question for you.

Can someone explain me please why every skin that was released aren´t purchaseable anymore?
If AGS/Smilegate want to make money, especially with new players, wouldn´t it better to put all released skins in the shop?

I can put my hand in fire, that way more people will buy skins over time as in the short release time of events.

There are some really nice skins, but it is not possible to get them, if you are a new player or doen´t have the money at the time of release.

Could it be possible, that we get a change in the mentality regarding skins?

Not gonna happen. Limited purchase window pushes too many sales.

And most people would probably be against it since it usually increases the resale value.

Put everything in the shop ==> Players will review all of them and buy whichever they prefer
Put stuff in the shop one at a time, with limited time ultra exclusive window please buy fast otherwise you’ll miss it !!! ==> Players buy something that’s fitting for their char… but two months later something better appears, they buy it because it’s totally timed-exclusive etc

Ye agree with Vehicle here. It woudnt matter, if you made the skins available through the whole time. People get into fomo on a skin and make impuls purchases.

People who would have the “time” to think about would never buy in the first place. People who go after skins(like me for example) would get them anyway.

Maybe some time down the line it would even out.

if you look at the auction market , you can find almost all skins available for Gold

cause players sell them

some skins are cheap for 10-30k gold
some cost 100-200k gold

but thats the only possibility how you can get them later on

I don´t see the difference.
If all skins are able to purchase in the shop, i will buy the one i like, thats right. But if Smilegate releases a better skin, i will buy it regardless of it will be in the shop only for a limited release shedule or forever.

Sure there will be some people that will be FOMO for skins with limited release shedule.
But i don´t think this is the main amount of people buying skins.

But hey, i don´t work at AGS/Smilegate - they will know what is good for theyre company.

Thats only possible if the skin can be sold.
Some skins like Ark Pass or others without the possibility to sell them, are gone forever.
And i think it´s sad.

I would agree with you if there werent countless other examples who exactly work that way and making bank. Best example, Fortnite.

We do not care what you “think”, “Fear of missing out” works every time with great results too.

theres a skin in KR you only could get one from an event where you had to login from a internet cafe
think its 2-3 years ago , man that skin is worth millions now

see it like that , if you could buy every skin in the shop
skins missed that “exclusive” “rare” status

alot of people buy such skins because not everyone is running around with it.
And perhaps you dont Fomo , but for alot of younger people is that a thing. " ok its limited i need to have it now" , is a big deal, especially if you dont have so much money to buy every skin you want

also like others said skins are for some investments to make gold with or atleast get more gold for your money

i know peole that bought 20 or more summer skin bundles last summer, hes still selling them till now every time he needs some gold

and he get 6 times the amount of gold for it now

Yup, i totally agree. Take terra for example - all the kins were in the shop. Even the limited ones. And when they would be made permanent the prices were higher
But that was also my biggest cash spender. I had so many skins for all my 20 characters. In 7 years of playing terra i got almost all the available skins and of one month i couldn’t afford one, i would usually get it the next month and so on.

Also i would like the see skins of the gear we had in t1 and 2 and the story mode, cuz some of them were really cute.

Their business intelligence shows that you can make more money off of fomo and be able to sell dog shit skins when the options are limited
