Question I just saw the latest Lost Ark encyclopedia PvP video for NA release.
It’s mentioned in the video that there’s only duo queues?.
Can we queue up with our friends upto 3 people in a party? Or can we only duo queue? So I’m TDM can we start matchmaking with 3 from group? Also can we do so in ranked?
As far as I know, ranked is solo queue only, not sure where you heard you can duo, but maybe I’m wrong in the NA version. Having no premade in the ranked is smart as they would have to split the queue and premades ruins the experience for players queueing solo, it also eliminates the possibility of boosting players.
I think he was referring to the unrated mode, but you’re able to queue with a 3 stack for that. Unless NA is different from KR/RU ranked queues should just be solo queue only.
Huh he does say duo. I’d actually prefer if unranked limited groups to just 2 people max.
Could be that it’s changed for our region but I doubt it. This vid is using beta footage so it isn’t exactly representative of what we’ll be getting at release. Maybe the January update notes will say something relevant.
I feel like he just misspoke. Imo having the 3 stack in unrated is nice. It’ll provide an easy way for teams to practice for these tourneys that NA will be having, or just friends to play together. Sure you could go into a customs, but that takes more work finding another 3 stack
It’s not much more work. You’re already coordinating a time to be online with your own team, after that you just contact another team and do the same. If you’re practicing for a tournament you want high quality experience not stomping noobs in unranked.
Very true, but majority of players are more casual and do simply want to play with friends. Either way as long as ranked is solo queue, it does not matter much to me. Would be cool if premades were matched with other premades though (if there is another in queue) for unrateds
So yeah you can premade as 3 in non ranked and it’s rng on the match making for ranked in solo queue. Don’t really like the Ranked matchmaking system but it’s how they do it.
