Question on honing

Hi guys,

I am currently item level 1405 and trying to push 1415. This is probably a stupid question but I was wondering if there is an optimal way to do it other than upgrading everything to +15 for example. I have seen people with armor pieces +12 and just the shoulders, gloves and weapon is +15/16. Do certain pieces give more damage perhaps?

If you are a dps pushing gloves to shoulders to 17 gets the job done. Chest and pants if you are a support. You get more ilvl past +15.

every upgrade up to +15 is a 5 item level increase. +16 to +20 is a 15 item level increase, but the honing costs do not scale as drastically. so it is more efficient to upgrade a few pieces to +17 rather than every piece to +15 to hit 1415 as cheaply as possible.

So based on the comments if I am support I should prioritise chest and pants past +15? So up until +15 each upgrade only gives 0.83 to the overall item level so an upgrade between +15-20 will give me 2.49 overall item level?

Also i think at +14 its 10% honing chance. Do you recommend going without any solars? People tell me only to use on weapon. As a support I dont feel weapon is that big of a deal though

I think you are already past the point where it would be worth it, since you are already 1405.

yup, still u can reach 1415 easy than pushing ur all +13 into +15 :slight_smile:

i guess eventually everthing past +15 wont matter. I guess this is just most optimal way to 1415

yeah yeah eventually we will have to push all to +20 :slight_smile: (as i know) so its nothing to worry about.
I also pushed all to +12 :slight_smile:

If you have some itens pass level 12, just focus on gloves and shoulder to 17 first as a DPS or chest and pants to 17 if you are a supp.

Thanks for the info guys. I guess ill start saving up the solar grace/blessings for the pain from +14 to +17
