Question regarding knowledge transfer

I’ve watched a video and read on this but still find this a little confusing. Its just been confusing since most use the term “class” when they say you can transfer one per class. Does that mean warrior/ma/assassin/gunner?

So, I have a main (berserk) and used the 2 power passes (pally and striker). I also did a knowledge transfer on a gunlancer to North Vern. I’m trying to create a wardancer. Does this mean I have to level up a new character to lv50 before I can knowledge transfer once more? Or does this transfer apply to every main story quest I do? For example, my pally also finished Rohendel.

Hopefully I can answer this for you. Below is a screenshot. I Created this character for the soul purpose of answering this question.

I levelled two characters to 50. I then used 2 power passes for a total of 4 50’s. I then knowledge transfered for a 5th 50. I can knowledge transfer this brand new character because I have 5 50’s that have completed the north North Vern story. If I did, that would give me 6 50’s that have completed the North Vern story. Meaning I could then do even another knowledge transfer.

However, after North Vern, there are more requirements to knowledge transfer Rohendel. I completed Rohendel on one character the normal way. Then I knowledge transfered a character past Rohendel because I’m lazy. I now have 2 characters at the item level requirement and the story progression to use the Rohendel knowledge transfer. As you’ll see in the screenshot, I need 3 characters to finish Rohendel to use another Rohendel transfer.

TL;DR

You’re good. You levelled a character to 50 and finished North Vern. You power passed 2 characters and you knowledge transfered a character. You now have 5 50’s who have completed North Vern. You can use it again.

You are wrong on the first one. You have 9 knowledge transfers to 50 after leveling 1 to 50 urself only the other ones require more than 1 playthrough. Ive 9 alts and did the leveling process only once

Wow, thank you for the images and everything. Much appreciated! I think I got the idea of it. This was best explanation so far. Thanks!

can you tell me how you managed that, cause i have the same shit now on my 3rd alt. i was able to knowledge transfer feiton on my 960 sorc, and now on my 960 striker i should complete the feiton quest on my own instead of putting him into knowledge transfer… whole system doesnt make any sense to me if i have to do continent quests again for boosting then another alt after that one …

It does make sense tho. To 50 9x for 1 but not for the others

The first knowledge transfer, Vern, is unlocked for 9 ALTs, because 1 character made it through the Vern story.

Where it says “1-completed character x1 required” that means in order to Knowledge transfer, at least 1 character has to have completed the story first.

When it says “2-completed character X3” that means 3 characters have to have completed the story to boost a 2nd character.

So, we’ll take Rohendel as an example, because that’s what I’ve screenshotted. I did “1-completed character x1” when I levelled my main past the Rohendel story. After I use a boost for Rohendel, that gives me 2 characters. But I need 3 characters done with the Rohendel story if I want to knowledge transfer a 2nd character for Rohendel.

That means I would have to manually do the story twice if I want to KT two characters past the Rohendel story.

TL;DR

2-completed = the actual knowledge transfered character.

X3 = the amount of characters that need to complete the story to unlock the knowledge transfer.
