I’ve started queueing an hour ago, down to 11K to 7.5K, still going down the queue so I guess it’s not kicking everyone.
It appears queues gonna be insane on the afternoon tho.
I know, thats why i moved to a “lower” populated server from Asta.
But its only slightly better.
Even better, they remove completely the ‘queue protection’. I left game to adjust a sound problem, tried to log onto Kadan maybe 3-4 minutes later (maximum) and poof, queue.
Some days ago I did the same and my slot was apparently reserved, I had no queue for quickly leaving and re-entering game.
I give up all hope right now that they will ever extend server capacity. Someone REALLY must like losing money in the mid term.

I moved from asta to those you said are “fine.”
But those have unacceptable queues aswell when i come from work.
Also its not always the smartest thing to listen to the community, because there are several opinions leading to exactly this back and forth behavior.
They should have locked everything like squareenix did with FFXIV after Endwalker release until they managed to provide enough capacity, regions and servers to deal with those masses.
That way people should have to wait to play, but there wouldnt be this kerfuffle about spend money on specific servers or regions.

Totally understand your frustration. It may please you to hear the news of a new region being spun up to handle this. I wonder if they will move some servers from this region to the other?

The queues were significantly worse on FFXIV, I couldn’t login in any reasonable amount of time unless it was morning, and then just like this game, FFXIV would kick you out of the queue randomly etc. All regions had terrible queues most of the time. At least in Lost ark, it’s only the EU region really that has a notable problem and you’re free to use other regions. The reason I don’t see this as a big deal is because literally, having dealt with FFXIV’s queue issues, this is relatively nothing.
The new region doesnt provide a solution for Founders, because the royal crystal currency is locked on the region you created you first character on. You didnt even have to redeem the platinum pack for those.
So if I would switch to this new region, i would lose 7000 crystals/70€.
I think they opened up the servers because people couldn’t play together. Part of the guild managed to get on the server, then they closed the server and the rest couldn’t join.
Or you want to play on a turkish (sic) server and it’s closed, now you need to create an account on a romanian server and annoy them instead.
As most people will quit within a month the queues will get better with time, but not being able to play with your friends (or countrymen) at all is a big thing. So in the end we have massive queues instead of closed servers.
What I find strange is that all the american servers are green, it doesn’t seem like anyone is playing this game in the US. Maybe they could donate some of the servers to the EU region ![]()

It doesn’t solve the capacity of existing servers, but it does allow them to ‘lock’ the servers and prevent more players from joining these servers until the active player population goes down to more suitable levels.

They might move some of the servers from the current region to the new region, so you might end up on it regardless.

As I understand the issue, they have the maximum amount of servers a single region can have currently in the EU. If you check the news, they are going to introduce a second European region so they can add more servers.

I believe amazon to be completely incompetent, not only as developers but also publishers, new world was a dumpster fire of a game and the launch issues were unforgiveable. Now they have decided to bring that same incompetence to a fantastic and successful game, this defaces Smilegate as it is not their fault that amazon are truly incompetent and cheap and obviously do not understand the market they are in when it comes to mmorpg and online video games.
The fact EU is having this sorts of issues is once again unforgiveable, but atleast you can play on your region and are treated as first class customers, meanwhile players on OCE/ SEA are FORCED to play with 200+ms therefor making the game almost unplayable. You cannot play deadeye/gunslinger currently if you live in oce/sea because the weapon swap rubberbands and lags horribly, there is bosses with unavoidable mechanics to oce players because of the tick rate, we as OCE players are beign treated as second class customers meanwhile EU is being vastly underestimated and suffering also. Amazon have ruined their own game with a terrible launch and an awful response, and are now ruining another game. We need answers, we want help, and we demand proper service as paying customers!

It was my understanding they had many of these problems with their release in Korea too, so much so, the game got meme’d on with seagalls as people were stuck in the launch screen for ages dealnig with queues. This makes it hard to discern where the issues originated from.

Based on previous posts here by staff I saw a few days ago, while Amazon are turning a blind eye to allowing oceanic and SEA players on their services, they’re technically not licensed to service those areas and so they’re not allowed to operate the game in those regions (servers).

I mean, as far as issues go… This isn’t even as bad as FFXIV’s end walker issues with queues. And not only that, they’ve peaked as the second most players playing at the same time ever on Steam, replacing CSGO on Steam while keeping the queues where they are – that’s pretty impressive considering.

Considering they added servers, locked old servers to keep queues down, gave new benefits out to people that migrate, maxed out servers in a region, unlocked servers, now adding a new region, did a news post and everything – How is that not acknowledging?
Perhaps you need to be more explicit about what exactly you’re asking for?
17k queue time now on Kadan. Almost the game is one week launched for the people purchasing it has not moved to the better to be honest.

I’m on Procyon and the only time I had a queue was yesterday. All other days were fine.
The reason why joined that server was specifically because I saw literally everyone joining Kadan, as if that’s the only server out there. It literally took me 10 minutes of my time to find the spreadsheets and see where people would be flocking.
I am asking them to release OCE/SEA servers because playing with 230ms (the lowest i can possibly get from western australia) is not an enjoyable experience as a paying customer,
