I agree with the fact that it is extremely difficult to cater for this issue.

Do people who make these takes just forget about gold or something? The thing ppl are FOMO on is the gold. The people who got to argos first made a shit load of cash and its gonna be much more when it comes to valtan there is FOMO your stupid for somehow forgetting about gold.

Technically yes but also no. There is content redundancy where as things become less ran as the bulk of the playerbase moves on. Also if something isn’t worth it because X is already here and better, so people are more willing to skip it and just move on. Lastly the biggest part of “FOMO” is the initial rush, some had FOMO for not capitalizing on the market at the beginning when inflation was high, or in the reverse when crystal prices where 200g.

In reality, due to FOMO existing, there’s a massive amount of additional money to be made similar to the early T3 situation where people made hundreds of thousands and even millions of extra gold due to the FOMO whales swimming in T3.
Same idea with Relic gear and especially if this gear can go to +25.

i think FOMO is real, FOMO happened if you are invested in the game, and the game gives you more reason to feel like it, such as mobile games that did daily logins anda daily mission, where to get the best result to roll or get better characters is to login everyday and they won’t multiply the prices if you are not logging in everyday. As for Lost Ark, i kept playing the game because it is fun, the rest system is also a very good incentive for people who can’t play everyday.

Im keep playing the game from day 1 and my gs get pretty good, i was able to do any abyss dungeon t1-t2 pre nerf, i had fun clearing those because the dungeon ar pretty news to the game, i remember a day where i was 960, 1am, i want to clear all t2 abyss before week reset, it take me 5h and it was funny and frustrating.
So clearing a content that ar pretty new just hit different than clearing it 1-2 months later, im not even speaking about the gold u can make rn, i dont care about that.
You can believe that while the first to get to high item levels will start solo-busing Valtan normal and earn 30k per run.

Gold differential will always exist and also needs to exist. If the starting bar is set to include everyone in the highest content for gold possible then what need is there for gold. There would be no higher content to push for to utilize that gold.
FOMO is the feeling that players have, not necessarily the game that causes it. The only time I think the game caused that kind of feeling was with the argos. Argos was amazon’s only big mistake in lost ark, but it’s something that’s in the past. Not the same thing happen now in the Valtan.
