People have given you most of my points already, the biggest thing is getting grudge on top of what you have of course, but I wanted to add in that tripod levels are really important on certain skills like rime arrow, esoteric reaction, and reverse gravity. Those quick prep tripod levels are huge. the magic amp/enhanced strike/final strike tripod levels are also important. I currently run with two people who bring 10% crit buffs so I have 97% crit in raids so I use final strike with no keen blunt, but even when I am not raiding with them I am still getting cruel in all content very few exceptions. Dropping the counter skill for another damage skill or elegian’s touch is a good thing to do if you can be bothered making multiple builds for content, I swap out abilities all the time personally. It would be nice if we could get those trixion changes here soon so we can try out eachother’s builds in trixion much easier with the gems and tripod levels.
I think you are right. It seems my tripod, gem and card is lacking. I just tested in trixion with the engravings and stats you listed, but damage is hovering around 2.2m. All the skills does does not get cooldown fast enough sometimes and there is a gap in damage which cause DPS to drop. I need better quick prep tripod on rimes arrow and seraphic hail. I think the card set also affect it quite a bit. I’m getting 72% crit, whereas your screen shot shows 80%.
I don’t use final strike on any of the abilities.
I definitely need to get better quick prep tripods. Some of the skill does seem to have quite slow cd when I do my rotation.
If you have High Crits but don’t use Final Strike tripods make no sense to me.
Replace Keen Blunt Weapon with Curse Doll or Grudge
Get “Lostwind Cliff” card set. It is not that hard. You can get them by buying rapport items from Wandering Merchants then doing 100% Adventure Tomes.
Change one of your accessories to Swift. Don’t go Full Crits because you already have Adrenaline.
Don’t use “Reverse Gravity” skill in raids. Replace with another attack skill. I prefer Inferno with tripods 3/2/2
Get at least level 4+ tripods SAVE in your inventory pages for all your skills or wait after new QoL patch which give Double Success Rate.

Imho especially with reflux sorcerer (and in there especially with instant cast) trixion damage only tells you so much. The great benefit of instant cast reflux is that under raid conditions you can pretty much constantly deal damage from every position. I have a 1447 reflux mage (cheap build with hitmaster, adrenalin, reflux and precise dagger, with crit/swift stats about 30/70 and 6pc nightmare) and just did a 3 minute test in trixion that “only” resulted in 1,7m dps (310m in 3 mins). That may seem low in a testing environment but in guardian or legion raids I often get damage mvp, sometimes even cruel fighter, because like mentioned before, you pretty much have a 100% damage uptime.
Peak sorc damage is igniter. Even the very best you can get for reflux, in the global build, pales in comparison. Your trixion results are close to what you’d get in a raid setting as you have more uptime than igniter, however, your biggest hits will be in the millions. An igniter sorc will burst into the tens, or with lucky crits, hundreds of millions.
If you want to see huge numbers, you’ll want to switch to igniter. If you like reflux, just work on having constant damage.
I personally play reflux because its easier.
I have exact the same build as you without the attack speed reduction. I am using the lostwind Cliff and the full nighmare set. I don’t know why you feel weak. In raids and Argos i am usually upright fighet or cruel. Take grudge as 5th engraving. Adrenaline is nessesary, i don’t advise to change it. And last don’t expect to have the DPS of good igniter sorcers. Insta reflux build has average DPS in perfect situations but it’s fun. And someone said not to use reversed gravity, i don’t agree. It’s very usefull skill in Vykas.
Your engravings are fine. That’s what I run. I do about 2.5m on my 4x3 build. If I add grudge for a 5x3 it goes up to 3m.
I run a hybrid piano build. I would aim for 1300 crit and 800 swift right now I have 1200 crit and 888 swift. However I have tried all engravings combos along with swapping in and crit swiftness ratios. I have ran 1500 crit and 600 swift for example and the dps is the same but the kit feels different so at that point it’s really up to your style.
I chose most swiftness because I like spamming all my skills to keep them on CD. You need a good ratio to keep yourself under boundless mana for the dps buff. Or you run even more crit and even less swift and keep yourself in the first buff. These are the two ways to play Reflux.
Keen blunt is 100% slept on. A guild member of mine runs almost 100% crit and said keen blunt is terrible for both him and I. He went to trixion and threw on keen blunt and his dps went up a ton. I don’t get where this “if your crit is X amount then keen is shit” logic.
For starters try every engraving and stats combo you can in trixion.
Secondly you need to have lvl 11-12 skills AND lvl 3-4 tripods on your main skills. Upgrading your tripods will add about 20mil damage. Upgrading a skill to 10 to 11 is less but still better then having all skills at 10.
As for magick or final strike tripod if you have high crit (85%+) go final strike otherwise go magick tripod.
I had a 34 quality weapon when I test these numbers I haven’t tested since I got my weapon to 97 quality.
Your dps is what to be expected from reflux, this builds damage is just average, anything above is for top dpw classes, and anything below is for low dpa classes, we are the middle line (yes, i do play reflux too) all you can do is improve ur stats and add extra engraving
4 nightmare 2 dominion is only for full swift build. All other reflux go 6 piece nightmare.

and no, reflux is not a ‘‘mid tier’’ dps, swiftness is the build that have the most dps uptime of any reflux build, as such, the dps u can dp on fights are up to ur experience with dpsing nonstop while not dying, when people dodge, u face tank the dmg with ur spam of super armor skills, when people go behind for back attack, u stay steady dpsing like a boss, if u play reflux like a igniter player, u will do less dps than a bard dps, reflux is no joke, either u go raw or go home.
Ur build is garbo, play piano sorc.
I mean I just looked across your char and it took me around 2 seconds to tell why your damage sucks… swap away from stacking full crit and go for full swiftness with crit on your necklace (read through 6 piece nightmare set effect to realize how much potential youre missing out on) - and get rid of keen blunt and run Grudge instead.
Did you test both, they are on paar in theory. Piano reflux is no so much better.

There is so much bad info in this thread it’s hard to parse. Just know that your build isn’t completely broken, you don’t need to go full swift piano sorc. You absolutely should not take Final Strike tripods when you run KBW, unless you have a static party with synergy that puts your crit at/near 100%. There are some common traps from build guides that you may have fallen into that I will detail below.
You need a proper 5x3;
- Reflux, Grudge, KBW, Hit Master, Adrenaline
- I think you’ve got this one figured out
The right gems (you aren’t showing half of them, and I only see 5 damage gems, so I’m assuming you have some fixing to do here);
- Damage (6): PStrike, Rime Arrow, Esoteric, Reverse Gravity, Blaze, Seraphic
- Cooldown (5): PStrike, Rime Arrow, Esoteric, Reverse Gravity, Blaze
- Blaze is good damage (esp. with bleed rune) and you will always prioritize it for party synergy. Frost Call is garbage damage and only serves to drain your mana to stay in mana recharge mode, though as full crit this doesn’t translate to a big dmg change one way or the other.
The right tripods;
- Common missteps here thanks to maxroll guide still being half crap after all this time.
- Frost Call 2nd tripod should be Rule Enhancement. Keep it running to drain mana if you want to stay in recharge mode. Double tap it if you need a quick shot of Adrenaline stacks.
- RG should be Electric Attack Area, not Lava Area. The big damage is frontloaded.
- Esoteric you can run either Stabilized or Shockwave, but Shockwave is backloaded so you need to anticipate more often when using it.
- Anything that can have Quick Prep, should have Quick Prep, and these should be fairly high on your list to max out first.
Combine this with 6-piece Nightmare, lvl 7-8 gems and a few key max rank tripods and you should be 3.9-4.1m over any duration test when you are around 1490-1505 (+20/21 weapon of 70+ quality). No ideal 2 minute dominion window necessary.
Here is me testing in Trixion at exactly that gear mark (1490, +21 weapon, 72 quality). No teleport animation cancel shenanigans, no auto attacks, semi-afk watching TV on a 2nd monitor and just pressing random buttons. And Seraphic is only lvl 11 for the sake of comfort points on my counter. I can do this parse for any amount of time and it doesn’t change. Mana recharge sustains for 2+ minutes at a time but as I said, doesn’t matter, your damage will always be good whichever Nightmare mode is active.

I just tested on my 1472.5 Sorc. 433 tripods, +19 99 weapon quality, lv7 dmg gems lv5 CD gems, 5x3 (not ideal as I have CD over KBW but I’m not using final strike) and I am getting 3.5m dps
