Regarding the difficulty lowering of guardian raid and abyss dungeon

You’re making a lot of absurd assumptions.

They do care about all the things you claim they don’t care about. Not being able to immediately fix them doesn’t mean they don’t care.

You have no idea exactly what changes they’re making to the mentioned content and have no reason to think the content will no longer be fun after the currently unspecified changes. For many people it will likely be more fun since they didn’t enjoy doing it at all before.

They have data from millions of runs of those dungeons and know which ones are likely significantly out of line with what they had hoped for in terms of successful completions.

What if they just added an option that let you pay to skip the raid and just get the drops? Then you wouldn’t have to play for hours.

That exists already, and as a result we have T3 ppl running around (more than there would have been) who are already making SOOO much more gold that it’s already RIP for any casual that wants to get blue gems.

For reference, I intend to give them zero more money beyond the 6 char slots I got the founder’s pack for (from which I used…nothing else I think). Literally right now opening the 2nd one for title.

It’s alt friendly or isn’t it?

I am and want to play 6h+ a day…but not 3h of them being dailies.

No, they don"t care. AGS ist just waiting for enough people leaving the EU-Central cluster. That ist all they do, and that ist no care.

Same with the bots. There ist not even a reaction from them regarding this.

I read and hear constantly about people complaining about queues and matchmaking. I heard from no one complaining about the difficulty. All the people i played with were happy about the challenging content.

They’ve posted about it numerous times letting people know they’re working on changes to combat bots.

There’s numerous threads about Guardian Raids taking too long and going through tons of hp potions to complete the content while people still in T1-T2 don’t have a ton of gold to spend making potions, especially not for multiple characters.

they shouldnt be touching the game at all, look what happened to new world. @amazon all you need to do is work on your servers, keep ya sticky hands off our game.

You dont get it. Lower tier guardians HP was wrongly buffed by 50% for EU/NA. How is it nerfing when it was stupidly overbuffed in the first place. They should just release it exactly the same as it is in RU and KR.

If they are nerfing mechanics instead of removing artificial HP buff they are doing wrong thing again. If they are just setting their health as it should be its great.

Honestly if they nerf already easy content (which t1/t2 is) than where will they stop ? we need to stop this now dont give into the casuals that cant read or dont want to sue their brains let them go back to wow. T1 Abyss for example isnt even Hard its 1 mechanic per boss the rest is dodge red areas … and if youc ant do that i am sorry to say that you dont belong into the game than.

ppl crying about “its to hard” are mostly joining with excatly the min GS and wonder why the bosses 2 shot em … its literally the MINIMUM.

If you rant about “casuals” ruining your game you’re participating in nonsense group think and spewing empty rhetoric that has nothing to do with reality. Not an example of using your brain.

Another example of not using your brain is ranting about changes ruining the game when you haven’t even gotten to read the patch notes to even see what those changes are in the first place.

People pretending WoW is some super casual game where everyone automatically wins is this really weird nonsense that has no basis in reality. M+ content gets very hard. Mythic raids are hard. A game having easier content available doesn’t mean all of the content is. Even casual PvP in WoW is no longer accessible. They’ve had a huge number of people giving them feedback throughout Shadowlands that their current approach to gear and progression has destroyed casual PvP participation.

It’s also worded as “recommended.” If you’re only doing this content with significantly higher gear score than the listed “recommended” and then referring to it as easy, maybe you should think about that a bit more.

Okay lets take a different direction.

I personally have played almost every MMO to some extend and experienced a lot of Dungeons raids and so on. the worst offender was BNS that game still pisses me off to this day.

why am i telling you that ? becasue i want you to understand that i know that there are always a lot more casuals than ppl like me but does that mean we need to dumb down the gameplay just becasue ppl dont wanna read a guide or let the more experienced players tell them how the mechanics work ? IMO big no and yes as i stated already the content in T1/T2 isnt hard.

T1/T2 content can be summed up like this:

-Guardians ? Dont stand in the read field. (mosty since Achates and Tytalos are a bit different + alber but he is kidna the introduction to T3 anyway.)

  • Abyss dungeons = 1 Mechanic IF ignored leads to failure. otherwise red areas which you need to dodge.

The mechanics of both Abyss and guardians arent hard ppl just wanna stand and do dmg but thats not what lost ark is.

thats my reason why i dont want AGS to nerf the Already far to easy content.

They should not buff their HP by 50% based on beta feedback in the first place. If something was stupidly buffed and then its nerfed back its not nerf. It should not be released like this based on feedback of 5 neckbeards playing beta. If they are just putting their HP where its belongs its great news. If they are nerfing mechanics its bad news.

Hp Could be Fine since T3 Guardians die way faster with their extremly low hp totals.

but nerfing mechanics would be fatal. since new player would be baited into believing mechanics mean nothing like other games.

This is beyond ridiculous, this game is FAR too easy already. It’s absurd they’re nerfing content, we’re already headed in the wrong direction with this game 3 weeks in? If they’re taking the feedback of a vast minority of players this game will not survive like we previously thought. Where exactly did this feedback come from? It’s a snooze fest as is already killing Guardians…

The best part of the game is the Abys Raids because they actually provide SOME challenge. Everything in this game has been stupid easy from the start.

There has been no confirmation of this buff

I would expect for the Guardian Raids that lowering hp of some of the high fail rate ones is probably more likely than just removing mechanics.

If they do any mechanical changes, I’d guess they would more revolve around trying to help you learn them without having to look up a guide or watch a video than removing them. Maybe they could just add a basic description for each fight on the UI where we enter.

then don’t play 3 alts?

I am fine with the Guardians, and I am sure others are too, but they need to not touch Abyssal at all. That is how you ruin the game. If they nerf Abyssals to cater to dogshit players then you can see where a problem is. Since abyssal is intended to be hard.

It depends. If you think like a hardcore player, ok. But there are tons of casual players, and 10% for some content is very low.

It is not easy to find the balance and hardcore and casual players, but If you think is hard, balance a game for 1% off the population of this game (hardcore players) and make the 99% happy and verse-versa.

RU and KR guardians were nerfed after the catchup mechanics, we just had the original guardians, not “buffed”

I agree with OP. AGS needs to understand their base, people are flooding to LA because of the challenege. Many of us left WOW because it no longer felt like a challenge.

The same plebs that ruined that experience for us are now coming to this game and complaining about difficulty and wanting it nerfed so that they can clear the content. You’ll end up driving many of your players away because the hardcore players do not want to log on for 30 miinutes and clear a raid then log off. Many of us enjoy the challenge.
