I live in Morocco it is region locked but I was still able to play the beta with a key I got from a giveaway.
I’m wondering if I would still be able to play it on release since the game is still in my steam library.

anyone from South Africa know best way to address this? other countries have been added in the mean time but not us. is there any ETA on this or will we not be added for what ever reason?
AGS is probably never going to actually say that support for X countries will come soon, they will say that they don’t have the rights and wil try to negotiate with SGR until a deal is done and they have the rights, if that ever happens to begin with. Asking about it as sad as it sounds will bring no correct answer to you.

then who has the right to publish it currently in SA?
All rights are owned by Smilegate, and Smilegate can decide if they want to publish in your region or not. Then when publishers make a contract with Smilegate they ask for this rights in exchange of doing the localization and setting the infrastructure required for the game to work. Basically covering the costs of everything that is needed to run the game there.
When Amazon made the deal with SGR they had to reached an agreement between both on how many regions rights they will be able to use (the initial regions that had access), and then after further negotiations they were able to get more rights for more regions (SA, OCE and idk if any others). South Africa rights are still owned by SGR, just as well as SEA and Middle East (because it is their product). Unless they are willing to let go of these (or Amazon shows enough interest in the rights that they give them to them) the only one who can actually publish SGR product in these countries is SGR itself.

Amazon Games only has the rights to publish Lost Ark in specific regions which you can find on our website.
