There is an alternative way to play the European version from Georgia by making a new Steam account with a VPN set to a European country that is not region locked, like Germany. That being said, I think your ping would be better if you play on the Russian server. I can understand why you don’t want to play with Russians though, with the war and all. Good luck!

I always play on EU servers and ping is not an issue. Problem is, like mentioned before VPN is bannable.
But not enforced. Or you wouldn’t see any NA/EU streamers playing on the RU/KR servers with their character names visible. Or KR players on NA/EU for that matter, yet many of them have already announced they will be playing there. Don’t take this HoneyDruid too serious, he seems kinda salty. You might not even need a VPN to actually play the game, but only to get it in your Library. I am not completely sure about that though, as the game is not available yet and all.

I’m not salty at all, but the forums today are full of people who want so desperately to play the game they will gladly commit suspension of disbelief when facts are thrown at them.

That reason has been given above. The low-level tech support just made the situation worse for this guy giving him hope that wasn’t theirs to give.
Also, VPNs are bannable.
Therefore, telling them to VPN is telling them to violate the ToS.

Including Georgia with Russia was a mistake. There, that’s a fact
I dont get you all people complaining about this when it clearly stated from day 1 that they will publish game in Europe and NA. not worldwide.

What I don’t understand is why you seem to have a problem with people that want to play the game when their country actually falls in the region.
As you said, Mail.ru. People in Georgia don’t actually speak Russian you know? They speak Georgian.

Go create some petition, get signatures etc. to get your country off Russian publishers

People in Europe also don’t speak Georgian, they speak English.
I’m not from Georgia, I just think it’s annoying that people state these obvious things when this guy clearly is asking to play on the European servers as a European citizen. Nothing strange about that. He seems to speak perfect English, so I welcome him with open arms. Who says he speaks Russian at all?

Belgium and Netherlands are EU countries but they wont get access to this game not because Amazon doesnt want players from them. BUT because the game would have to be changed to apply to local laws of those two countries in regards to mechanics do to game having ‘gambling’
People like you I really don’t understand and dislike. What is your problem ? Only reason I posted here was because amazon support directed me here. I made this post to get more info on the matter but instead I see your comments. Fortunately there were others who actually helped me instead of writing useless comments. And Ukraine and Georgia not being part of European region is the problem. Also like said above I know that this is not right place for it. That does not mean I can’t post about it and share my opinion. If you really want to help tell me how to contact smilegate and inform them about this because I could not find a clear way of doing it.
You just said it then. Might aswell just email Angela Merkel or any other of the European Union leaders to allow you in the EU, what’s Amazon got to do with that? It’s this disingenuity that users like the one you’re replying to take an issue with. Nothing wrong with people being uninformed or desingenious but it gets old for forum veterans. And people get surprised how some users here go “oof” when they read “Why don’t you allow my country that is not a part of europe to play in europe” like this isn’t obvious enough, or “why didn’t you publish in the middle east” like Amazon or any other private company has any obligations to publish anywhere. It gets old when a forum gets spammed with threads like this and you will just get the standard reply from a CM saying always the same which is Amazon hasn’t acquired the publishing rights for said region/country and they don’t even owe you any damn explanation about how they run their business.

Man you can’t be serious right now. What are you even talking about ? Did you even read what I wrote there ? Georgia and Ukraine ARE part of Europe and it is sad I have to explain it so many times. What I ment there was smilegate not recognizing it and including it in Russian region. This is getting boring…
They could even include both countries in the China region if a chinese publisher had paid them for that. If I offer Smilegate a ton of money so I can publish in the North Pole I’m sure Smilegate would be happy to take my money to allow me that, I guess they were happy to take Mail.RU’s money to publish in Georgia and Ukraine. You do understand how business works right? It doesn’t have to be fair or the way you wanted to.

So Georgia will probably never officially be part of the EU server, but neither are the Netherlands and Belgium and I know a lot of them will play anyway. Where there is a will, there is a way!
No he is not right and still has no idea what I am talking about. I do wonder from where did you take that I don’t understand how business works ?? So what is your solution ? when companies do something like this I should just do nothing about it right ? and go play on Russian server or not play the game at all. Problem solved yey!
