I have the same problem which I am doing the chaos dungeon and disconnected(kicked by the game). I am from EUC but now can only enter the SA server. Followed lot of guides from this forum, it does not work
This is some bullshit error that they can’t fix for months now.
It’s either somethng on their side or it’s because of Shit Anti Cheat.
If you disconect, get an error, your internet goes down there is a chance you will be blocked from that region. Only thing that worked for me to fix it was either wait, 10 mins to 2 hours for this stupid shit to fix itself or you can chance your ip or use exitlag to connect again
I also have the same issue. On EUC but its keeping me on SA and has the same message as the OP if I want to access any other regions.
Tried everything including Flush DNS, Firewall rules checking, reinstall of EAC, validate steam files, full reinstall of the game, port forwarding, turning off my router for the day.
Randomly dced last night whilst in stronghold.
Surprisingly it works with my mobile tether hotspot so maybe wrong IP ban?
Same with me on EUC. A real shame, I love the game, but evidently AGS is indiscriminately banning IPs in a misguided effort to ban botters, who will always find away around the restriction, while gating legitimate players who have spent time and money on the game. It was a good run guys. Good luck to all who have not been affected.
Guys I can confirm that it works if you use mobile hotspot. I also tried another internet connection (different from the one that I used before which causes the region closed issue) and it works.
So basically they have somehow banned or blacklisted your IP address for no real reason. I first had this issue when AFK and got disconnected for being idle too long.
Then after I wasn’t able to log back in due to region closed issue.
If you change your IP/ internet connection method it should work.
But obviously I do hope they fix this quickly as many of us don’t have the luxury of being banned from our home IP address.
Same thing happened to me, 3 or like that weeks ago, just changing the characters, got connection problem message and this “Region is closed” So still can’t join the game.
6 days since i was able to play. I’m even paying for crystaline.
I did not do anything to my system.
Even so, contacting support, and I end up being the one blamed for the game not working, and led through useless suggestions to get it to work, even though there are many others with same problem. I don’t get it. It’s not me who did maintenance, AGS did! After that, “Region unavailable” error. Only way to play is using 4G mobile data, but cmon…
When can i expect my game to work, and will i get crystaline covered for the days i haven’t been able to play?
Yeah I am in the same boat, talked to amazon live chat and sent tickets but no response yet. Also had the aura running, hopefully, we can hear back soon. I’d love to start playing the new update.

I am sorry to hear you seem to be having issues connecting to the servers.
Please try the following steps in order to troubleshoot this:
1- Please verify the integrity of game with the Steam integrity check How To run a Steam Integrity Check
2- Close other applications that may be taking up your bandwidth.
3- Switch to a wired connection.
4- Restart your router and modem.
5- Troubleshoot your firewall.
-Press Windows + R, type “firewall.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
-Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall and then click Change settings.
-Look for the game in the list of allowed apps and features. If it’s present, make sure it’s checked, and that both the Private and Public columns have a check mark. If the app is missing from the list, you need to add it.
*Click Allow another app…, locate and select the app, then click Add.
*Once you’ve done that, you need to ensure that the app is checked, and that it has check marks under both the Private and Public columns.
6- Test your connection for packet loss or buffering. To test, go here and click the big Start Test button to start the test. Once the test is complete, the results are displayed.
7- Verify you are not using VPN or proxy services. (Note the use of VPN is not permitted when connecting to our servers).
