I’m up to Rohendel Treasure maps that cost around 200 Rare relic, if I was to sell the relics in AH, it would be around 24 per 10, so 20 x 24 = 480 gold. Is it worth making these maps at all? I made 3 but only get mediocre returns. Is there a chance to get some good stuff at all?

In my experience not. Just keep and safe the materials and start making Punika maps as soon as you reach T3. Those are worth it.

I tried a Yorn treasure map today and it wasn’t worth it at all. Got around 30 white, green and blue relics.
i made 4 maps of rohendel , 800 relics… thats 480 gold x 4… and i got 15 of those star breath. and some white and green relics. seems i wasted 1600 worth of gold for nothing.
As i said, keep those materials untill T3 
ya. i should have asked before i made them last night. i saw a video and thought that rohendel is also good returns… im gravely mistaken … i was hoping that the RNG gods was just against me and that they often give those legendary craft kits.
I made two Yorn maps today.
First one i got 21 Moon’s Breath.
Second one i thought blah only 1 Moon’s Breath but then saw i got a Expert Craft Kit which sells for 3700g on the AH.
So far for me its all been good!

I made 5 Maps got 4x Apprentic Craft Kits, good amount of rare ancient and caldarr relics 5x Moonsbreath with lvl 24 excavation and a Purple Tool, seems the RnG gods didnt like me either…or is my skill just not high enough 
which maps did you make?
I ran some data for my maps and so far, it was clearly not worth it to craft and run these maps.
With 15 maps ran I needed a total of 9k gold of value (value of relics that I farmed + craft cost) and got a return of 5k gold in honing mats and relics. Not a single yellow or relic craft kit.
I used punika maps.
I have been very unlucky, but it is time consuming so I will do other things for now. Crafting simple oreha fusion mats is better in my opinion, or just selling relics. Now that I’m lvl 30 I get free maps with the dog + more relics !

i thought as much since its RNG. Often the rewards does not overcome the sheer cost of maps materials. I’m curious, how many Punika maps did you make?

As you can see, very unlucky so I decided not to continue, that’s not a big data set but enough for me to decide to stop :'D

interesting, i think over 10 runs is enough to see if its profitable or not. I think what is worth asking is, how many runs can you do to equal Legendary craft kit. Since its probably the most valued item to drop. If its closer to 100 runs, then its probably worth running at least 50. But if its closer to 10-20, it doesn’t give you much chance to pick up a kit in those 10-20 runs.
