Even if the playerbase, between âwestâ and KR were sufficiently different, changing it, adjusting it or replacing it completely with something, would require a great deal of work.
Adjusting the prices, say the amount of pheons X requires to transfer ownership, while being much less work, canât really be done. If SG sends a message that they can change the prices, for our version, lowering them, immediately the KR playerbase would demand it as well.
They could never do it. The devs would only stand to lose.
Only way this will happen is if all the KR player goes on strick. If we somehow manage to do that in west they wouldnt even care.

Without Pheon BCâs would be basically pointless.
Without BCâs RCâs would lose significant value
They would rather watch this game sink to the bottom of the ocean than cut one of the bigger money makers they still have going for them.
The value of the Pheon system has absolutely nothing to do with the players. It has nothing to do with the market. Itâs simply a driving force in RC purchases.
Pheon cannot be farmed in game, the only way to get them is from an Event or someone paying real money to generate BCâs for you to buy with Gold. In the end they are a gold sink (for the player) and a reason for people to spend and that is it.

Pheons are exchange for whales which one pay for you that you can play as free 2 play.
Do you have other solution for whales to get a gold?
If enough quit yes theyâll care end of day it all depends on numbers.
Do note though, that while itâs true that it is close to impossible to remove pheons without a complete rework for the whole game, changing/improving/reworking them is not.
There is already precedent for this in KR as pheons replaced an even worse system for them.
Though we prolly have zero say in this as any change is going to have the Korean version as a priority

Imo one midway solution would be as following:
Add to crystaline aura feature of X1 GR and X1 CD for those who have active crystaline
Raise crystaline aura BC price and IRL money price
Just like in RU if you have crystaline aura you get 10 pheons per week
Remove pheons from ability stones
That is what I think would be a good middleground for both the playerbase and AGS/SG
I personally would pay even 30 euros for crystaline if it had that feature.
Yeah I have heard that it went from worse to less worse. Honestly Pheonâs donât bother me all that much, but thatâs because my account is at a spot where 20k-30k isnât a big deal.
But they do put a lot of pressure on anyone new or still building up a roster with a huge additional overhead.

You canât just say remove pheons. You need to offer an alternative monetization method.
Thatâs still ok. Problem is it will get worse and worse and worse. Longer we go, larger the gap will be. Itâs a fundamental flaw of the system, besides the steep vertical progression and time gated horizontal one. Itâs like this game hates new players
Monetization method? Just give us more skins, and better prices to buy the crystals
