Thank you for the update! Especially since this issue has otherwise been met with mostly silence…
But I agree with the others on this… Due to any lack of priority on this we have been locked out of content. At the moment it is up to 10 days and the decision you have conveyed means 15 days of content being locked due to a bug.
Just me personally this equates to:
30 guardian raids
45 una dailies
2180 Una’s Tokens
15 days of Stronghold Action Energy
3 Stronghold Activity Reward Chests
1490 Ghost Ship
And that’s just me personally… That’s not counting all the people locked out of islands, legion raids, etc… There is no way a team would be willing to provide adequate compensation for what we have lost so even offering it is rubbing it in our face that we don’t matter. This issue should have invoked an emergency maintenance the moment it was noticed but instead was ignored for a week, 2 resets didn’t fix it so the rage of the community started coming out, it finally became a problem for AGS, and now its to late for AGS to reset everyone because they wait until Friday so people have 2 days of progress you cant work around or reset…
AGS really needs to weigh their priorities… Being a profit first organization and ignoring clients equals losses… You can see that in Crucible, New World, Lost Ark, and soon Blue Protocol. AGS will hopefully eventually get around to being a Customer Centric company when they realize player count and profits increase when they actually put in the effort to protect the person instead of AGS bottom line.
Hi! I’m having this issue too, I thought they changed the way that farm works, but I asked some friend and is something I only facing since reset, is like my farm resources are not generating.
I also want to include that Legion raids are also not resetting for the recent weekly refresh. I did not clear it at all this week and the bug shows up. Those raids are a LOT of gold to obtain and I am losing out on the opportunity…
Edited my post above as well, but now today I learned that the Guild Islands(Slime Island and Medeia) also did not reset. Which means a loss out on accessories and gems from both island chest rewards.
GVG reward island can be added to the list of dumb. Which means you are now affecting every top alliance on every server with lack of participation on the GVG islands.
There ain’t no way AGS will compensate everyone since we all have varying amounts of stuff locked out on. Like for me, I also lost 2 weeks of g6 brel, along with 2 weeks of no 1490 daily guardian. My guess is somewhere around the ~100k gold if u can somehow turn bound mats into unbound for me.
And our compensation is going to be nothing near that, probably a few battle chests and some aura of resonance kek
15 with the same problem and we continue in the same way, the days go by and they don’t even give us a clear answer that is not automated, we are only wasting time, since it does not cost you income, you do nothing, fucking shitty game,
@Roxx Really hoping they have that fix ready to roll out tonight… Already 15 days into content being locked out due to this bug… really hoping to not have to wait yet another reset to get a core game mechanic fixed…
We’re still waiting on this fix to come in and will need to review and test as soon as we can – we’ll let players know how that is looking tonight and what to expect for timing on that fix.
so your saying its been 15 days and the fix still isnt done and may not even be ready for this reset…
Why can we have a fix for store, bots, auction house, compensation that wasn’t supposed to be sent out, etc. in under an hour but it has took 2 full weeks (total 3 resets so far) for a bug that breaks core functionality of the game to be considered to be fixed?
Thanks Roxx for the info. I respect and completely understand you are a messenger here. But if the fix is not ready for this weeks patch, I highly recommend to advocate for a patch/downtime the moment it is ready.
At the most major, this is halting progression for folks. Beyond that, it is having a significant impact on materials, gold, etc earned for people’s alts. But as for progression if this is delayed another week that is 3 weeks of progression missed. What compensation can even qualify to make up for that?
I know people make exaggerated statements about the game being “unplayable” for small typos etc. But in a game based around resets, and with resets not refreshing, I mean the game literally isn’t playable We can log in… and that is about it.
So will wait to see any updates before the patch but again please voice and push for a patch/downtime when this fix is ready and not waiting another week. As well as really think on appropriate compensation for this. Really factor in the impact of literally no progression for 2 (potentially 3 weeks) for the players impacted from this bug.
I agree Roxx is great and honestly the best communication we have and I am glad we got an honest reply instead of the silence we have been getting… But this should have been a critical fix and done in hours… not weeks. Something needs done with the development team and their management because this shouldn’t be acceptable in any environment much less a game.
Also its unlikely they would be able to institute a fix for this outside of a reset window now unless they have fully identified the cause and its attachment to each character
People are to deep in this bug at this point and a full fix for all accounts would be needed to actually fix it… If it was handled the same day like other critical bugs it would have been possible.
But now… They have to force all accounts to do a full daily/weekly reset and that would also mean resetting unaffected accounts that may have made progress since the last reset. Essentially allowing the ones not affected by this bug to run multiple legion raids and other things twice in a single reset week.
So if its not ready tonight… They would have to make a full scale back up before the servers open then hand pick each account/character to fix during a mid week fix. It’s possible but judging on how this has been handled so far this will not even be considered as an option.
This is redicoulous you guys clearly don’t care about this. Even ZealsAmbition talked about it in his recent video. You guys are not doing a great job and you’ll end up losing your player base if it keeps going. It is literally unfun to play a game with this type of developpers. This should have been fixed since last week and you guys are not even sure if you can fix the bug. This is unacceptable im really disappinted in you guys.
this issue should have been fixed immediately, but it doesn’t directly affect ags, so they will wait 2 weeks and maybe fix the issue. However, if there are bots selling gold and hindering money coming into ags then now it’s a problem, and we gotta shut down the servers immediately. I would have more respect for AGS if they took down the servers unannounced to fix this issue.
Unfortunately this fix will not be ready for release with tonight’s update. The team is going to work on validating it this week and it should be ready to go for next week’s update on 1/18. Once this is ready to go, we will also get a compensation out for players who have been affected by the issue. Apologies for the delay on the fix!
I know you’re just the messenger, but how in the world do you guys plan to compensate almost 3 weeks of legion raids, chaos gate, guardian raid, daily and weekly unas, challenge guardian/abyssal, ghost ship, gold island, siege islands, amongst other things… This is rediculous.
We can log in… and that is about it.
