Resolution issue, please help

On my main desktop PC I have a 2560x1440 monitor but in Lost Ark it forces me to 1280x720 borderless. If I try full screen, the highest it will show is 1920x1080.

My laptop has the same 1440 resolution and it shows up that way in game fine, borderless and full screen.

Any idea on how to fix my main PC? Prefer to run in borderless.

Here are some potential quick fixes that should be done before jumping into more advanced troubleshooting:

  • Close any unneeded programs while playing, as these can adversely impact your computer’s performance. This includes web browsers, background programs running in your system tray, etc. You’d be surprised how much the CPU is impacted by an animated GIF in a minimized browser window on many systems.

1. Ensure your video drivers are up to date. To determine which video card you have:

  1. Press Windows + R, type “dxdiag” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
  2. Click the Display tab and you can see information about your video card under the Device section.

To update your video drivers:

2. Set Windows power settings to High Performance. If your computer power profile isn’t set to High performance, it could be throttling performance.

To access Power Options in Windows:

  1. Press Windows + R, type “powercfg.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
  2. Select the radio button next to the High performance power plan. You may need to click Show additional plans first.

I did a DDU uninstall of drivers and fresh install of new drivers. No luck.

Everything else mentioned I tried. Just very odd issue.

Can you please try with this:

3. Adjust your in-game video settings. 1. If you’ve loaded into the world, press Escape, then Settings, and Video.
2. Select Auto Settings, to have the system select the optimal graphics settings for your computer.
3. If these changes do not resolve your issue, select All, and manually lower resolution settings until the lag issue is resolved.
4. Clean boot Windows to reduce startup applications/Check for Malware. Try clean booting into Windows:

Follow the instructions at How to perform a clean boot in Windows. Clean booting into Windows prevents any unnecessary programs or services from starting up, and can help narrow down the cause of your issues. If you continue to have trouble after performing a clean boot, it’s safe to assume that background programs and services aren’t the root cause, and you can go back to your normal startup.

Check for malware:

Malware can cause many adverse effects on your computer. These effects vary widely depending upon the type and purpose of the malware, but high resource usage can be one of the symptoms, which could directly impact your gaming experience. If you have your own preferred antivirus or anti-malware software, feel free to use it to scan your computer.
