I had to quit 2 months ago because of IRL stuff (big uni exams coming and whatnot), for me to be able to focus or at least what I have set for myself; I deleted all my character/s ranging from 1495 -1445 ilvls characters and 1340 lopang alts as well as merging all my main’s level 7 gems to level 9 and sold it for 4321 gold just to give me reason not to come back(made sure to delete them all before the 24 hr expiration before finally uninstalling the game) so as to avoid coming back into the game in that particular period of time.
Before I quit/took a break, I played the game religiously from launch (2 weeks after launch per se) 4-7 hrs a day from the great economy depression (Pre-argos patch), to the drought month of August, so basically I have seen everything or most the game has to offer.
Fast forward, uni work is kinda mild right now and I am having this MMO itch again and tried to search for MMO’s that are somewhat laid back not too casual not too grindy, preferably a good community, an ok’ish economy, great endgame, somewhat decent gear progression, and a good feeling combat with no outdate-tab targetting system (FF14/WOW) which unironically what lost ark has for the most part, but only a handful of games came to mind which are the following:
GW2, BDO (lolw), and prolly ESO.
- GW2: good but like a jack of all trades, its ok for what it does in all aspects
- BDO: great combat but no PVE endgame to show for it and especially it being P2W and backwards gear progression which akin to LA but not as much, and then
3.ESO: outdated graphics, somewhat decent combat and Boss encounters.
And then I remember LOST ARK, been wanting to come back to experience the combat and legion raids mostly and hopefully at this time, play the game a littlle less grindy and more casually focusing only on the main 6 gold earners with rotated rest bonus.
With this in mind, I sent a ticket to the customer service to see if I can retrieve the deleted characters on my account, if it does, great. and hopefully find a good guild this time (NA West-Mari) as I have been mostly playing the game “SOLO” for its entirety, if it’s not, well its ok too…prolly just wait for Blue Protocol or Throne & Liberty for the meantime and focus more on IRL stuff.
For the players still holding onto this game, how’s the game these days especially since Clown released and will you stick to the game in the foreseable future?
