Revert "Chaos Vendor" instead change "Buy limit"

Just wanted to make this post due to the huge impact this change makes on F2P-players and those not wanting to maintain several alt-characters at the same time.

Can you please revert the Chaos Vendor back from “Bound” materials to “Tradable” materials and just lower the cap of how many players can buy each week. My suggestion is x10 cap on each material instead of x99 as of now.

Chaos Exchange Vendor Changes:
Materials Change: Bound > Tradable
Buy Limit Change: x99 > x10

My suggestion is due to the time it takes a normal player to get “Shard Of Purification” and a reasonable amount of stock that a normal player should be able to achieve in 1 weeks time.

It’s okay. This is a good way to deter botters

This is a huge hit to botters and gold sellers, and a very good decision for the long run of the game.

Or, players could adapt and just roll alts. They can even be the same advanced class as their main.

Reducing the weekly purchase limit so drastically would harm players, including F2P players, who want to farm mats for their own use.

This change came too late, but it was the only reasonable choice.

The same way it is a huge hit on F2P, removing them just did a worst harm in the market, bc with them came the removal of severe gold source in our version, and I don’t think it will fix soon if it ever fix it, and honing is already a bothersome point that makes ppl think of quitting everytime, imagine now with such a high prices, the long run won’t even exist
In my eyes changing the weekly limits is also the best choice

An economy that relies on bots regulating prices is not healthy for the game. People “think of quitting” for all kinds of reasons, and game developers can’t make changes based on a few players try holding a gun to their heads.

Prices will rise for guardian and destruction stones, but with less botted gold in the economy, prices for other items, like ability stones and accessories should come down.

Simple and quick - No.

good point, it would limit chaos bots, anyway who the hell is able to farm enough shard to buy all the x99 with the never ending increasing price ???

Putting a cap on it just means bot farms have to run more accounts through the system.

No, anything tradable on inf chaos dungeon just makes botting worse as bots will make multiple free accounts to use.

Making the items bound and shards roster bound, means the insane people who want to run it for hours can still pass their shard around to collect personal use mats only.

Free to Play players are supposed to make most of their gold from selling their unbound mats to whales for a decent chunk of gold.

With botters, prices were low and allowed RMTers and whales to hone into the stratosphere for a low price.

Now that the cheap mat supply is gone, prices should rise giving f2p more gold on their sales and correctly deleting gold from RMT and whales balancing out the economy.

Inf chaos dungeon should be available to those with time who are free to play and want more mats to hone, it should not be a gold generation source as buying materials is more for whales or people who have saved up gold to push to an ilevel breakpoint.

nah

This

Well this is sad, player numbers remains the same as before “chaos vendor bot fix”. That implies that no bots left at all and they will just continue botting chaos or if they switched to trading skills “flower, rocks, wood etc.”

Any other bright ideas that fuck over normal/f2p players and does nothing to bots?

Hmmm, i have one, what if we make every single item in game untradable/bound?
That would make bots not being able to accumulate gold at all.

Please don’t revert this.

How much gold exactly do you think you will make weekly with a 10x cap? It’s hard to believe there aren’t better ways to earn the same amount.

Considering barely anyone actually does infinite chaos for selling other than bots, no one really cares.

Thats like saying “just because only 3% of the population has cancer no one cares about it”

Well i see nothing will be given either or, so im out, amazon can kill this game to, i dont care anymore. Thankfully i never payed for anything

Number of bots probably won’t decrease from this, but at least they won’t have much reason to stay logged in for long. Right now I think it is just Una gold that they can reliably get and maybe trader skills mats, but those will tank in demand as there will be short supply of other honing mats, so fusion thingies will not longer be needed as much (and therefore trader mats).
I suppose they could still use those mats to increase their ilvl and unlock better gold reward from Una tho. I wonder if devs will ever consider doing something to that source of gold.

How many hours weekly you spend in chaos to have losses? 5h daily?
I want to ask OP, how many alts you have and what ilvl are they?

Honest answer.

The culprit here is that anything good for f2p, like crystal exchange etc. is also good for the Gold-Sellers!

If they removed any kind of trading, in Maplestory Style, 90% of them would instantly stop botting.

But this would also mean that f2p life becomes a lot less comfortable.

This is why we can’t have nice things! Or, at least not without major compromise…

players used inf chaos, botters will just write a script for guardians, and make new accounts for resonance chaos dungeons. You can’t beat bots this way. Even in games with zero gold trading, they sell leveling and grinding services.

The answer to bots is not found in gameplay.

this is like trying to stop a parasite by not eating. The parasite will just continue until you are both dead. As long as the game exists with a large demand to skip progression, they will take a piece of that demand and sell it cheaper than the game is selling it.

solution is either remove that thirst and grind (wont happen) or come up with a programing, or enforcement solution to the problem.
