@Roxx How about removing the “increasing purchase price as you buy” since they re not tradable anymore?
Nah, it’s fine. Nobody cares if a bot is pushing ilvl. Most players don’t do infinite chaos dungeons because it’s a waste of their time, so this change doesn’t even affect the majority of people.
Bot Train in Vern to the Chaos Dungeon is back. I count dozens and dozens of them, only took them one day to be back. They are all Tier 1 Bots, what the heck are those farming???
I opened a topic about the chaos vendor a while ago. And im happy to see this change. It was the best decision AGS could make. I wish they would just adjust the buying price at the vendor to make it a bit more attractive to run endless chaosdungeon for some hours a week, would be a bit of improvement when it comes to honing frustration.
Only dozens? Seems like this change did quite a bit then.
They farm tier 1 and tier 2 to buy accessoires, then disassamble them, they give you honing mats which you can then sell on the market. Should be disabled as well, as i think they didnt changed that.
Edit: i mean the accessoires you can buy from the shards that drop in endless CD
Nah. Keep it bound. You can sell whatever you get from chaos and guardian raid instead.
Exactly, this is what the paste eaters who post here don’t understand. It has a ton of negative consequences for legitimate players to try to mitigate a problem that can be handled correctly.
How many times now they’ve hurt us f2p players to mitigate bots is getting insane.
Actually put in place a system to detect and ban bots instead of taking shit away from your players.
Idk man, how they are handling this and all of the people who are just ok with getting shit taken away from them and even support it is insane.
A decent amount of this community is just straight up toxic.
yeah ok maybe more then a few dozen. Our server now even has a yellow state in the login screen, it was always green the last 2 weeks. But starting with today it got even worse (Slen, EUC)
I wonder why they dont just use the Quick dungeon menu…
i don’t understand these bots. if all materials from vendor is already bound, why do they still run chaos. for what ?
- Daily 2x Aura gives tradable materials
- Unconfirmed, but supposedly dismantling bound accessories gives tradeable materials which is oversight ngl if that’s the case lmao because dismantling bound accessories should only give bound materials
@Roxx Could you verify if dismantling bound accessories gives tradeable materials? May have to address this with the team to let them be aware of this and bots are bypassing the latest infinite chaos dungeon change via this method if this was the case.
I hope you don’t. That won’t help players who farm for their own use.
You can confirm that yourself in a single endless chaos run
Can’t confirm it right now because I am working 9-5 lol.
this doesn’t matter. you get very little materials from doing this, it takes like 5-6 runs to buy an accessory the first time, and gets higher. the result is like 3-5 stones. which sell for .8 and 2.8 gold. its not profitable.
the thing yall guys never understood, is infinite chaos never mattered for a bot. they can run regular chaos as much as they want.
the main power of a bot is two factors
1)they never have to stop botting
2)they can make infinite accounts.
this means they can make each their 6 characters, on their thousands of accounts run 2 times and logout.
the main reason a bot would run infinite is to level up GS of an account, the money always gets worse than other botting options after a few purchases, but even if they don’t run infinite, they can run resonance to make money.
As long as regular players have the means to make money, bots will have the means to make money, X10000 *24 hours.
this is why reducing the means bots use to earn, is just reducing regular player ability to earn.
so how do you fight bots? enforcement, account management, or through programming systems, or both.
the other method is remove all direct trade, and carefully control indirect trade. BDO does this I think. players can’t trade gold, and auction house always buys the lowest value item and has specific price windows for each item. Its not perfect, but the main bot export in bdo is, for this reason, they will play your account for you to get you money/levels.
so even that doesnt totally remove the problem.
I would assume since this “chaos vendor nerf” did absolutely nothing to bots, i think they are not farming the vendor at all, i think they are farming “chaos weeklies” to buy gold chest’s.
Just remove infinite chaos, its garbage anyway… It only really benefits bots most players prob don’t waste their time.
Thats completely false, alot of players are using inf chaos to spend their time instead of complaining on the forums.
under control ? who believes it.
indeed, botting
