This is what I’ve been saying in the forum all this time.
People think you need to swipe to be 1370 or even 1400. You don’t. You just need a lot of prior knowledge or watch a lot of guides/videos and be extremely effective while putting in many hours of hard work. People who think otherwise are just stubborn and don’t want to admit that it can be possible because they can’t do it themselves.
I’ve already stated that hitting 1370 isn’t some magical place. There’s not much to do there. Argos isn’t challenging.
I will say Phase 3 of Argos is quite fun though but you do need to hit 1400 and that can be achieved quite easily. 1415 is a different story though.
Every region that released Lost Ark only released up to Shushire. In fact, NA was supposed to only go up to Shushire also. Later it was proposed to release up to Rohandel.
The fact that we got T3 is insane and people are still complaining.
This game would be dead already if they had only released up to shushire lmfao. There would be literally no point to play anymore if theres nothing else to do. Right now, we at least have the goal of trying to get to 1370 in our minds, even if its completely worthless. They just need to release all the content and stop staggering it. Clearly we move too fast to limit the game so badly
That’s what I’m saying. Other versions only had Shushire on release and the next month update was Rohandel. Yet people keep talking about these other versions.
Most people aren’t even aware but when JP was first release, gold was so bad that they had to hand out gold to players because there was no gold in the economy to even sell/buy items and enhance. Every version has its problems, even KR had a ton of its own issues.
People always think the grass is always greener on the other side but I can assure you it is not. People only like to compare NA to what they see KR has right now but KR has been going on for 3+ years.
That’s why many of us have been adamant about not nerfing honing into the ground. Casuals want to “beat the game” before they quit and want an easy time to get there. But quit they still will, if they haven’t already. Meanwhile, the rest of us who plan on playing this game for months/years will be sitting at max ilvl with nothing to work towards besides horizontal progression.
Personally, I like the horrible honing rates because it gives me a long term goal to slowly chip away at. There’s no rush, and if there were they would make it easier. And I’m happy that those who are upset are simply quitting angry. Happy.
My biggest issue is time-gated progression, not honing.
I understand there has to be some level of time-gate for stuff to prevent people from completing the game in a month, but I’ve got literally no horizontal content I can do whenever I want left.
It’s all either behind rapport, una tasks, repeatable daily quests or scheduled spawns. Isle of Yearning being the only thing I have left to do whenever I want and we all know how that goes.
I agree that once the other raids like legion raids and Valtan come out then the weekly lockout might not be so bad and so yes I think I will take advantage of the rest system and just wait till they release the other content.
I wish they helped more people get into t3 however it can be hard to remember you can get so many extra leapstones from dailies and etc.
For those of you in 960 or lower tiers enjoy the game! Its super fun getting a new guardian raid ever couple days and it keeps it fresh but it jut dosent continue into t3 is my point but I remember how much fun it was.
The horrible honing rates would be fine if there was content. People have literally nothing to do but barely meaningful side progressions that are also time gated in alot of places. I would LOVE the grind for better statted gear if I had things to do to fill my time between gated content. In this state though, the honing rate just emphasizes the gating and makes the game feel like shit for the majority of players. That is the core problem with this game. Amazon ported an empty game and thought islands could satiate us for 3 months. What a joke
I said this in an earlier post and had people jump on me telling me “if I dont like it leave” which doesn’t answer me at all. I feel the way you do… it was a long hard slog, it was a beautiful grind even, but once you reach the top this game is built to be done once a day and lacks any kind of really fun repeatable content… nothing I could see myself and friends doing over and over while talking and making jokes, just a long sad wait til the next raid while doing a daily checklist, then nothing again. Its not a game designed for western gamers, because its not designed to be played a lot.
I feel like this kind of misses the point though, having a long grind to end game is not the same as having a fun end game. The game needs a sturdy gameplay loop that is not “Do your dailies, log off” They need a grindable monster for silver income, they need a repeatable hourly mario kart race even if it has no rewards, nothing in this game is built just “for fun” its all given arbitrary attachment to a challenge that once cleared leaves you with nothing but the wait for the next challenge.
How did you not know? They give you basically nothing different for 30 ilvls of low chance honing. You can look on youtube to see that hardmodes basically don’t change anything gameplay wise.
Well they raised the resource income, like a lot guildies reached 1370 with the books and mats.
I agree the way they done its pure bandaid, like ok now the event are over we are going back to the ultra p2w mode or you gonna implement the weekly dungeon and heroic guardian raid?
As for intentional profit I’d say before the lash out of the community yes it was made to play with FOMO and how Argos was dropped. Now I just see a headless chicken running around without any guidance.
I even got the ghost ship, and the ghost sailor, but by then I was in T3. So I did the ghost ship in T2 once, nodded, left, did not return. It’s T2 content after all.
But I can’t even enter the T3 ghost ship until 1370 so, welp.
