This change looks minimal to them, but it is really bad. Rapport required is different from NPC TO NPC.
To get the gold reward now people will have to waste more rapport mats than other, Some NPC need 200 to get friendly some need 600.
How is this company going make it up for those people who will have to waste more mats.
This is a change that cause even more problem, when they will have to change it back.
what kind of idiot proposed that and did that? Do you understand how huge the impact of this change is?
You know, They just have to block gold send mail from players to players.
Until they fix their crap. Not to fking change the game in a drastic way.
Rapport is a long term investment. Let them fix the other issues in the game first. As the game opens up more and as we get access to more content etc the Rapport system won’t feel as taxing. In the meantime take your time & farm the Adventure Tome, Island Souls, Giant’s Hearts etc…
i have been playing since beta in korea. You don’t know what you are talking about. You have no plan at all. You don’t understand the impact of this change.
If they really wanted to fix gold issue. First thing to do would have been, block gold send from player to player.
Then looking for another solution.
With what they did Meaningless NPC now requires a ton of mats for new player to get some gold. There is a curve in gold acquisition, now they deprave new players from it.
This is not how you fix a game. Then hiding it, not saying anything in any patches notes whatsoever.
What kind of people do that? Rapport mats are important.
If a new player need gold and see: Oh this NPC has gold, but requires 27000 rapport in total to get it. He may use his mats wrongly. While people who started early just needed 5000 rapport in total.
Those kind of changes, is why new world is dead now. You don’t know what they did. You have no clue how important rapport mats are.
No I agree that the change to Rapport is an issue because it’s an inherent revenue loss in game. I just don’t think it’s as big of an issue in comparison to what is going on right now.
They’re response to issues seem to be at an inconvenience to players that have or haven’t experienced the positive of those quests.
I mean regardless i’m glad it’s being talked about. We need a master thread of all omissions that are in this version vs the other regions. AGS won’t budge on anything unless pressure is applied to make specific changes. We have to call out everything or they’ll say: whelp you didn’t tell us anything about rapport so we ignored it."
Nah. better to call everything out and demand it all be fixed at the same time.
