With how they are delivering content I assume we will get a Hyper Express Event as well on the Brelshaza HM release which increases the pricing of most engravings.
This is actually a 5-head good advice. You might get better value with other 12x engraving and combo with “lucky” grudge stones.

It’s just gold, you’ll farm it back and the chances of Grudge dropping by any significant amount per book even with the golden frog is unlikely anyway.
Go at it one of two ways, just save up bite the bullet and buy your 20, or set a gold minimum for yourself and whenever you get enough gold over the minimum to buy 1 book, buy it.
I did the second option very early on for my Igniter books when they were 8k or so and while it was a pain to do after a couple weeks it was done and I didn’t feel the burn to badly.

For EUC best time was with Thronspire bots, when it was 10k
Due to fact that pretty much most of people have Grudge books and only needs 3 nodes on accessory to make it level 3, the cost of accessories that have 5x Grudge on them are kind of cheap.
So I’d rather recommend to get Cursed Doll.
grudge on accessories is dirt cheap
the point of buying grudge is that it is a universal dps engraving ie the more dps characters you have the “cheaper” grudge is
basically you divide the cost between how many users fo the engraving you have
so a class engraving with 1 user is 100% of the cost
grudge with 5 users is 1/5th of the cost on a single character
if you are looking for efficiency grudge would have been the best engraving to buy initially and slot it in every character
(basically what zeals is doing)
that said i wouldn’t say it would be that much cheaper than anything else you can do

This is actually very valid feedback.
Because Grudge is so universal across your DPS most people opted to get these books first, making actual grudge accessories must less valuable since you never need a +5 Grudge and only need a single +3 Grudge.
so the “right time” to buy grudge books has so far been at the start of the game when people werent making alot of gold, when bots were exploiting bridge and during golden toad since those where the times when grudge were at “low” prices.
i myself bought it after they fixed bridge so bots couldnt exploit it since i thought they wouldnt fix it. Ended up spending like 16-18k avg for books.
You could buy cheaper books but you might end up getting a book that doesnt fit for all your alts and thus needing to buy another one later on. Grudge is just a safe choice since every dps build can use it.
Get grudge books now or regret it when they become 30k.
the right time was when the bots was farming the bridge, or you can wait to price normalize like KR
that wont happen, it a one and done purchase the drop will be endless but the playerbase isnt
even that isn’t too expensive because you can do the +3+3 on a legendary accessory and fill both class and grudge
and also grudge anyone can drop
the real value in accessories usually comes from class accessories
and if you get a good stone you can get by with a legendary 100quality ring which is like -2% dmg which you can stomach as the alternative tends towards 100k
u can do all content with 4 x 3 or if u like 4 x 3 + 1 x 2,just wait for price drops u dont need 5 x 3 or something right now,just try to gem high lvl gems,gems are the most important dps boost in this game and quality weapon 75+
It’s no longer about what you require to complete content, but what you require to be invited into a party to run the content with.
My 4x3+1 1460 DB along with the knowledge from clearing Valtan/Vykas a billion times already would have absolutely no issue within your party to complete both raids. However, I don’t even try with PF anymore and opt to hitch a ride with friends making a party for this character, because it is going to be passed over every time for the multitude of better setup characters looking.
Why take my 1460 when there is a dozen 1500+ in the list, it’s just simple sense.
Now if I decide to knock out a few runs via PF on any of my 4 1520+ characters, I just pick my party and get accepted.
It’s just the nature of the game, old content might be old content, but since everyone still has to run it every week it’s never old content.
I’ve said this since Argos, the hardest part of Lost Ark is not the bosses, but actually getting to the bosses, be it honing, gatekeeping or whatever.
Thank you all for your answers guys, it gave me a good insight into what to do. I have 4 classes I will play definitely so it would not hurt me to buy their own books, at the end I will play them all till the end, and with that, I will be getting them to 5x3, it will be a one-time upgrade and will stay with me forever, so it will be just fine!
5x3+1 can be done with a 77 rock and some relic and ancient mix and will most likely be the min req when akkan drops given gatekeeping
but also not every class uses adren my tai scrapper can only fit in adren 1 any more and im over stacking crit, same with my control glaive, hence why i stated what i stated.
getting adren wont ruin you but in the long term might force yo to buy other books down the line, hence the recommendation to save you gold in the long run.

Right answer is to just buy it lol. You’ll never catch the right timing and would be better to just buy some here and there.
I don’t think we are at peak price yet, but we are getting close.
