RMT is absolutely ruining lost ark for a lot of players with the inflation it causes in prices of…
Engraving Books: Class and Grudge are up well over 14-20k per book now
Relic Accessorys: Anything with class engravings at 5 or Grudge 5 can go up to 200-500k for crapy quality gear.
Blue Crystal Prices/Pheons: Blue crystals and subsequently Pheons only get more expensive by the day we all know SA is out of control but NAE is up to 1800G+ per 95 now EUC is also bad.
Examples of gear that sold no doubt to RMT players largely, and or players who sold things to RMT players (services or goods). This isn’t listed gear people this is stuff that people bought.
With the above happening and the likely hood you get gate kept even out of a normal valtan run if you’re not 4x3x1 or 5x3 (yes people are denying you at less than 4x3x1 for even normal valtan now)…how is anyone new supposed to feel like this game is for them and or how is anyone supposed to build a roster?
The answer for a lot becomes they feel pressured into the scenario of ‘well can’t beat them join them’ which just increases the number of people engaging in RMT because $5 to $50 on the RMT market just gets you a lot more gold then dealing with AGS/SG directly.
What the heck should we expect do I expect?
Simple, for AGS/SG to deal with the problem and remove the gold and players from the game…yes I know it’s hard to trace 500k gold moving hands quickly but if you’re going to fix the problem the gold has to go…so you figure it out because if you don’t figure it out this game is going in the toilet the moment players have a better option to engage in and with multiple MMOs due out for release in the next year or two that might be sooner than later and that’d be a real shame because lost ark isn’t a bad game but the management of it in the west has been abysmal.
Never is to late but the problem gets harder to solve the longer you allow ill gotten gains to sit in the market and drive up prices. It requires people engaging with the problem who are good at writing scripts etc. to quickly identify and trace large sums of gold exchanging hands and quickly flagging looking into and dealing with the gold.
It is by no means impossible and sometimes requires drastic steps…using AGS as an example they literally at times have had to close the Auction House down in New World to take time to remove RMT/Duped gold…not saying you do that specifically for Lost Ark but doing nothing or just chasing bots endlessly isn’t working.
It won’t. I rarely see mokoko names. It’s trying to survive of the existing players. But eventually even those are going to quit with stuff getting this ridiculously high and no chance of building the roster. For new players just getting into raids, well no luck pretty much, even doing 4x3 is expensive right now. Laughable the state of the market right now to be honest.
And guess what KR players are complaining about right now on inven?
Inflation and RMT, yes in KR as well. Their whole forum is filled with complaints on players running multiple accounts causing inflation and selling that gold for real money, and that SG is not doing anything about it. They also recently banned 23K bot accounts in just one month.
Also, Lost Ark in KR is not doing well at all, there is a mass exodus going on there mainly because of inflation that players are selling their accounts.
Yeah I heard about all that though recently KR players are back to the ‘game is saved’ after the director came out to talk to them…but the problems in KR honestly pale in comparison to SA/EUC/NAE as far as inflation and RMT goes.

A: The amount of gold these bots create, and the damage it gives to this game isn’t as big as you think. We are banning a lot of them and we are giving them all kinds of penalties. When Ninave server first opened this year, a lot of bots and multi-account players used things like Rapport to get gold, and a lot of people were saying this was critical to the in-game economy. I didn’t bring the exact stats, but the gold produced then had miniscule effect on the economy. People were connecting this to the gold inflation as well, but it wasn’t the case. Tbh, our game, to a point, is a bit merciless gold-wise. To get loot gold, you have to go through contents like Legion Raids. So I can’t say much to people who repeat those contents, and gold distributed among players isn’t newly-produced gold. Of course we will continue banning bots, but in this game, there aren’t that much bots compared to other games. And since we’re discussing the topic, let me tell you something we’re considering. Because a lot of new players joined our game recently, we’re thinking about adjusting the Terms of Conditions a little. What I mean is, like we’ve seen earlier, the Treasure Map sharing system was to prevent scammers. So while we created systems to prevent these things from happening, we felt like maybe the penalties we give scammers was too soft. They are causing trouble. Also, there are people who type things they shouldn’t say in the chat. So we intend to increase the level of penalties. We can’t have people who don’t create problems suffer from these people. So there will be a change in the Terms of Conditions in near future.
Honestly what should have been done months ago is closing off the servers until the problem was fixed, not just the AH
Luckily now they seem to be taking the bots somewhat more seriously, but a lot of people forget when it was so bad that almost all servers on NA were starting to get heavy queues at one point, not just NAW
Also too the month ban per 100k gold is an excellent idea, it punishes the players with a slap on the wrist for trying, and essentially gives a perma ban death sentence for players who buy heavily and they get caught (seems like those players tend to FOMO the worst)
the bot problem is the region with the most problems in na west. there are a lot of chracters that are 1575 ilvl in these regions and they even ahve 1575 with x11 level 10 gems and they even have a lot of 1500+ alts as well but they take bots seriously but they cant completly eliminate bots cuz once they are banned they open new account this endless war continues the only solution here is they shoud make account creation methods very diffucult infalation is highest inna west and south america cuz the higher the price of crystals is the more intense the inflation.
KR players get upset about their inflation and problems, we get an appearance from the director who’s been away sick to quell their concerns.
NA/EU have been having issues for months and nothing…I at first didn’t want to/couldn’t believe SG doesn’t care about the issues outside of KR but all evidence points to the opposite.
Amazon is a bad publisher and SG doesn’t care enough to address our issues GG long term Lost Ark doesn’t matter how good the game can be if serious issues go left unchecked.
At our current rate I predict lost ark hits new world levels of players in the next 6 months if any other MMO can look like a better long term home.

Agree, and if they dont ban RMT atleast make their gold negative, remove all tradeable mats[they could have used RMT gold for them] and reduce their gears honing level to 0.
Cause right now, RMTers get banned but the things they bought with that gold dont go anywhere, once the ban is lifted, they are still ahead of everyone and they basically got forced vacation from the game.
IF AGS doesnt have these tools to do what i said above, then they should ask Smilegate to grant them to them as they have em.
