Whales and RMT players don’t bid they buy out. Quit putting up no buy out auctions and it’ll sell.
My guess is that they will slowly reallocate ressources for Throne and Liberty
Im not expecting that many people after this 3 months break to Brel into our West servers
But for those who will keep playing LOA , AGS will keep pushing SG updates anyway and ofc some last $$$ with pending class releases and skins
Here’s my suggestions:
Make legion raids drop guaranteed class engraving relic jewelry (like Argos does). Having more affordable Jewelry with +5 class engravings will relieve buying pressure for engraving books, lowering prices.
Remove pheon cost for stones while increasing the supply of stones (maybe guarantee 5 stone drops per cleared legion raid) Having a 7/7 or higher stone is vital to saving cost elsewhere.
People just want to play the game. Currently, it takes 3-4 months to save up for a 5x3 setup on the more popular classes, even with a roster of 6 gold earners. It shouldn’t be this way.
this right here should be stickied or sumtin
This community needs to understand that in order for an mmo like this to survive, even in the KR client, you NEED new blood. Legendary 3x3 gear should be free frankly not just hone up to 1415. The hypocrisy is funny. In almost every other MMO entry lvl content is suppose to be accessible to all. A test run if you will the 1st Raid is a taste of more to come.
It shouldn’t be a Hunger Games survival of the fittest selection when they apply to parties.
All to save what 2m and if doing it on 6 toons 12m. Its petty as fuck
we do know
they quit
they play less
Yes yes yes. This problem is slowly killing the game. I made a post in feedback, and ended up having to lock the post because of people posting their disagreements with the problem…which well, its not exactly a problem that can be disagreed with. Things are insanely expensive. And they shouldnt be. Someone even linked my post and someone started up the disagreement over the simple math that things are way harder to get than they should be again…which is simply ridiculous.
With the buff to honing to 1415, I expected to see more gear and books and prices going down. But did that happen? Nope, exactly opposite in fact. Because the game is bleeding so many players because of this ignoring of RMT and botting problems. Most of the new 1415s are alts of people with money to burn cause they have their mains geared already, and just buy instead of sell. So there is even less to go around, and its even more expensive. And the RMT is still fueling alot of those sales.
The game is dying a slow death currently. Less and less players. Even clown and a new class, didnt bring back many. And did not spark renewed interest in the game and bring in fresh blood. And it all comes down to the bot and rmt problem. People go to the steam forums, and see 50% of the posts talking about how you can only progress if you rmt. Which isnt entirely true, but without an established roster to generate gold, you will move at a snails pace now.
Imagine being a new player, on your first character. Making it to 1415 finally and getting all excited cause you can do the first legion raid after just bussing argos mainly. And then you realize you cant get accepted to parties, cause you have no good card sets, engravings, or all the proper gems. It doesnt take long at all to get to 1415 now. And then they drop a hammer on you like, yeah now save and spend 300k on grudge, plus your class engravings however much that is, plus pheons and gold to buy 5 relic pieces.
And people see that. And how they are required to play so many other characters, and spend so much time as things are right now. And they just dont want to devote themselves to the game that much. This game wasnt casual friendly to begin with. But with the inflation. Its bleeding players right now. Even clown release, and machinist, we’re still seeing a steady decline in the playerbase.
If they arent going to fix the problem. This will continue to happen. Punish the RMT players, put them negative gold like they do in other regions so they know not to do it again. As it is, as far as i know, they just suspend you for a few days or whatever. Even if they take the gold away, idk if they get to keep the accessories. But the fact that its still this bad of a problem, shows they just arent doing what they need to do.
Anybody, literally anybody, can open up the market in game, and see what transactions are obviously rmt and punish those involved. They just arent doing it.
on the subject of rmt amazon does not penalize these playerrs for 3 days even if you bought 10 milloin gold 6 months ago. but since every player is banned due to the rmt event and the penalty period they receive is random and variable, we cannot estimate exactly how many months or how many days all people were punished. The only thing I know is that not every player gets a penalty for a very, very long time. There are those who take 6 months, 1 year etc. but there are those who do not. the best solution as you said make their gold minus and it will hurt them alot thanbanning them
RMT seems to be pretty rampant at a lot of levels. Not sure how recent this is. But it’s crazy to see someone who still dedicates so much time and effort just to still commit RMT. And these are players that are at the “Top”. Running bussing discords etc. Allowing themselves to dictate who’s able to do this or that all while cheating.
It’s not that they can’t do something, it’s that they can’t even if they wanted to. because no matter what time of the day you log into the game, there are 150k active players. This shows that out of 150k players, at least 90k 100k people are bots. There are too many bots in the game and new players leave the game due to gatekeeping. because even though it is easy to be level 1415, new players will have a hard time making important content that gives group and weekly gold because they couldn’t do without paying for such content because their good squads and roster levels were not good and they did not complete the engraving setup, which greatly affects the player’s game experience and creates fomo. If I deposit money and do not fix them, no one will take me without paying the group etc. the player dies every day, the so-called legion raids saved the game and won the player, but for some reason, the opposite died on our server. Although the most anticipated characters and content such as kakul and scouter arrived, it never brought back new players. The game has been trying to survive with the players who have been playing this game since its launch, until they are exhausted from playing it. Banning cheating players has a bad effect because it does nothing but lose real players because bots are still hoarding and collecting their presence and desired gold for the game? what good could it do other than just increase the feel of the bots by reducing the player. there are still bots, and the region with the most bots is the na west region. The player loses and continues to lose. they did nothing to keep them in the game. They don’t admit their mistakes even though they stupidly impose 3 day waiting restrictions to encourage players to 3 party sites. Do not forget that the gold store for the game does not offer a reasonable price that everyone can afford. Because the cash shop is a place that only rich and well-income people can afford, especially if your goal is to be 1575 directly, it is very difficult to get full level 10 gems and 90% quality sets and jewelry. bots not only sell gold but also make it accessible for even poor and middle income and rich people to buy gold and they get 10 times more gold and cheaper legally. If you can pay 100k gold for 20 dollars, keep in mind that people will do anything to improve their character and cheating. The purpose here is the same. they just refuse to give money to amazon, they probably do. but I don’t know that, I’m not defending anyone here, I wish there weren’t cheats and bots, but unfortunately that’s the nature of the game. this is a payto win game how people are free to use their money if they refuse the legal way they already get the punishment they should get when they are caught. From what I’ve heard, it’s worth mentioning that not everyone who plays this game has a job or a publisher. that is, as far as I heard from my friends and foreigners, they said that when they could not meet the gold currency price in the legal way, they went to 3 party sites to complete their own characters and the engravings etc. needed for the characters they played. Because what they say is that they take this risk even at the expense of being banned, saying that if I choose legal, they won’t even be able to buy 20 grudge books. It’s wrong and they shouldn’t, but I guess they have to. nothing to do first of all they let bots dominate the game for 9 months when the game shouldn’t have existed since the game came out and they inflated it all, and now we’re seeing the effects of this as a result.
Oh yeah and I agree with the overall point. But there is another huge issue that kinda stands out on top of this how visible it is to even the newest player or casual player. Is there cheating/botting/RMT in many other major MMORPG’s? Ofcourse. But these issues are rarely surface level. If I introduce a new player to WoW or FFXIV, they would never see the “darkside” of the games for a long time or not at all. Crazy alt gear runs, key selling, lockout swapping, PVP boosting/wintrading, shady token deals and more for WoW. And for FFXIV you have housing/market manipuation, selling clears, RMT for crazy RP reasons etc. The list goes on for both and I’m sure most can understand. But even if Blizzard and Square aren’t good at catching the RMT’ers and hackers, they are good at making sure it doesn’t ruin the average player’s experience. Which is where LA completely misses the point. As soon as you start the game you see the train of bots. When you use the Market Board you can now see the changes and security that had to be implemented to help solve these issues. The currency exchange is now unbelievable. You’ve got players being issued warnings for their transactions. Rampant legit or false bans due the pools of RMT gold in circulation. And I’m sure there’s way more but I don’t even play the game at the moment to say. But if you do play the game, you do know how painfully obvious these and many more issues are. Which is sad because if you’ve been playing this game for months and are still seeing the red flags you think you’re playing on a golf course. But in reality, you’re walking through a minefield.
I played world of warcraft, but I played it when bots were not dominating this game, I have no idea at the moment in the other games you mentioned. Bots are present in every mmorpg games especially if gold is always needed for game and character progress and bots infect games like they think they can get it easily and earn money. Of course, the people who publish this game should make sure that the game experience of the players is not spoiled and should provide this trust. When the game’s order and economy begin to deteriorate, new systems must be introduced for publishers and developers to prevent them. Publishers broadcast games in Korea in other countries to earn money, do players play the game for fun? then you need to give players a reason to support you in-game. if you allow bots to dominate for 9 months and ruin the gaming experience of players who have always been playing since launch as well as beginners, your reputation will be tarnished and people will not support you when they start to hate you. Of course, the other thing you mentioned is that I think it is very low that there are false prohibitions. If people want to sell a jewelry with 5 demonic impulses and 3 adrenaline in the auction house, but the quality of this jewelry is 5 and the listed price is 150k 200k gold, only cheaters will buy this jewelry. because listing 200k gold in class engraving which has 5 quality is of course legal and trying to scam f2play players. Otherwise, the value of 5 quality is of course not 200k, but it is listed at those prices thanks to RMTS. Because a real player wouldn’t waste their weekly gold on buying crappy jewelry and that’s why people buy rmts and get banned when they list this type of jewelry at an exorbitant price. The game is very damaged right now and if they eliminated all the bots in the game, the damage this game took would continue to exist in the economy for a long time. Anyway, that’s all I’ll say.
I’ve been playing wow for 8 years and NEVER EVER seen a single bot in the game.
i dont know as i said i have no tplayed wow for 6 years. i have no idea
yeah after reaching 1510 I decided to go back to GW2 for all reasons you noticed,
Ill probably do my weekly kakul “just in case”… for couple weeks but nothing more the game have been too much damaged imo
The problem with the inflation is partly bot related, but a huge part is that the engravings drop at an obnoxiously low rate.
I have a strong roster at this point and probably clear around 50 chaos and kungelaniums a week. I average maybe one orange book every 3 weeks. That’s a drop rate of somewhere around 0.33%, and then you just hope it’s not one of the bad ones.
The fundamental issue is that the book supply isn’t there. Yes you get one drop off hard legion raids and sometimes a personal one (maybe once every 2 weeks again doing it 12x/week) but again, if you are running a roster, you basically just have to tank 6 weeks of legion gold per class engraving or create builds that are 4x3+2 to offset because almost every good class engraving on NA East is about 200-300k now. To get even a single legendary on your own would take you years without buying them.
A lot of purple books are also starting to get expensive on NA East as well, like 50-200g. Essentially they stopped the events that gave these rewards and as people try more characters, they need more engravings.
Triple the drop rates on orange books and prices will come down quickly. The price is not high due to flipping because you can’t flip them. The price is high because people are buying them.
Whatever the source of the gold, the point is if there are more books, the price will come down faster.
I have to agree with the community being a big problem. I saw the most ridiculous thing yesterday.
Joined a P3 argos group I was the 3rd person to join (not counting the creator). The first 2 that joined before me were 1415 4x3 correct engravings correct stats lvl 5+ gems 170+ roster and both had Vykas titles of some sort. The rest of the party filled up with 1445+ characters then but rather than launching the raid the leader kicked 1 of the 1415s and added another 1445+ then kicked the other 1415 and added another higher gear score player. I asked him why he did that and he said so it would go faster. I literally couldn’t believe that shit so I said you legit wasted more time waiting for higher gs players to apply then kick the 1415’s. I then left myself.
Are you for real! People are absolutely ridiculous in this game. I get wanting to get through content fast. Especially when I have a lot of character to do but damn that is another level of stupidity.
Parties like this have been a problem for a long time. Since you can effectively buy/play your way to success through brute force unlike other mmo’s, it creates elitist behavior. It’s unfortunate but has seemed to get a little better over time at least on my server.
Lost Ark in western servers was a ‘‘bad game’’ since launch, because of the structure of how the game works. When bot abusers and people that wanted to squeeze money in a fast way saw this game they went crazy. In the moment that the developers or the same players doesn’t give a poop about this and you let them MONTHS of this toxic state, the game dies so quickly cause of the inflation of it and this is the state of the game right now.
You can’t buy in game shop (has a low value) or action house (inflated), you can’t participate in a raid cause of lack of players and/or players toxicity, you can’t build another character cause of the gold efficiency, raids/dungeons/guardians comes nerfed so the ‘‘tryhard players’’ are upset, pheon system, casual players are upset of the amount of gear you need to literally grind cause of low honing chances and proportion of mats, the amount of bots and RMT, the development of SG and AGS… in other words, the hole system of the game is in a very bad state.
I left the game 3 months ago when I saw that my only wanted class (and the cause of I started playing this game) were coming at the end of the year or even the next year. I was that type of player that is called ‘‘tryhard’’ doing a lot of things to increase roster lvl and leveling not 6 but 8 characters to 1415 or more, having 2 characters at 1490 and 2 at 1445, the rest at 1415. I was tired of playing this game and my only ‘‘hope’’ was seeing Summoner in July but it went wrong. With this and the increase of the inflation and the RMT was a ‘‘adios’’ for me.
I want to come back to this game but my friends that has been playing since then told me that is going worse everyday, so, this game, sadly, is gonna die sooner than expected (or being a very small niche game). It’s sad.
I congratz everyone of you that has hope for something or just want to play it for fun.
The death of the game is both related to inflation and Amazon bans the cheaters from the place where they need to produce a solution to the bots, ensuring that they leave the game. So who knows, we have no information on how many thousands of cheaters were banned and left the game. If you fomo, you will not be able to enjoy the game because you will fall behind. We play the game for fun, the reason why we repeat the same routines is that we are still having fun with the game. Why should we not think of people as being stronger or better equipped than me, or by constantly comparing themselves to people? because that makes us fomo and encourages swiping to be equal like them. but i agree about gatekeeping this creates bad experience for new players and they can’t do most content unless they pay to move it. however, a new player who decides to play this game patiently and regularly will catch up with other players sooner or later, no matter how hard it is. Toxicity is in every game and it is one of the factors that destroy the fun of the game. It’s really annoying. I was kicked out of things like raids many times for not using battle potions before I took away my access to the game. they were judging you, they were oppressing you. In this respect, the inflation in the 0th game is too far ahead and it’s too late to improve. If you still enjoy the game, keep playing. don’t think about other things.
Almost everything is fixable if they design it better.
Like battle item usage: They could of just give the party a selection of 1 or 2 BI items when they start the raid. If they wish to or need to do more. Uses your own. Seem fair to me.
Engraving: only one of each type of engraving can be used. Like: damaged, support, utility. That way, not everyone will require you to have 3 bis dmg engraving inorder to get pick for a raid.
Una gold: I am 100% fine if they just remove it. Replace it with pheon, leg engravings, bis accessories. Getting them 1 per week is not going to break the economy of this game. Make it Bond. If we are missing that extra gold. Increase our gold earning characters to 7 or 8.
I am no game designer. There are just so many things they can do to make the system better and make players into a less gate keeping troll.
