At this point persecuting RMT is like beating a dead horse. I hate RMT, I despise it’s effects, I absolutely loathe the social dialogue thats so pervasive around spending vs non-spending and how RMT is justified. It’s all so stupid to me, but at this point fighting RMT, that ship has sailed. It was obvious who RMTed in the first 6 months of the game, people were pretending like “Well to do people” were whaling out on the game, when literal millionaires like Asmondgold and Shroud didnt have as geared characters, and it had been confirmed at the time that people, including whales had been banned already for RMT.
RMT could have been stomped out, respecting the legitimate monetary investment of people who followed the rules could have been achieved, various systems wouldnt exist in our region to hamper our experience, our cash shop could have been more robust, a better culture or perception about AGS’s practices toward RMT could have happened, and our economy in NAW in particular could have been much healthier but they chose to be very middling about it intentionally.
My only regret tbh is that I spent on the game at all. Not because the game isn’t worth spending on, it is in Korea; but because thier stances have directly support cheaters and shafted me and those like me. It’s clear AGS’s localization plan included pretending to the NA/EU community as if this game wasn’t microtransaction heavy, by leaving out some of the most important aspects of those microtransactions that make it worth it for people who legitimately spend (Mileage shop, Yoz Jar).
At this point im sure many people have and will continue to RMT. I won’t due to pride tbh, it’s contrived and foolish but it is what it is. I’d rather keep my dignity. I could careless about stretching my money to full lv 10 gem my entire roster for a fraction of the cost, focusing on my main is good enough, the artificial grind of an MMO to an extent still exists for a player like me which is somewhat reassuring in a sense. My gear is more than enough for pugs and I dont actively seek to play with people who want to gatekeep by measuring virtual dicks and will cheat to do so.
I have never seen such a poorly managed game.
So, RMT is allowed now right? I’m looking to start a summoner

Exactly ,thats what these cheater apologist don’t understand, they’ll play with nobody in a few months. When the economy of a MMO is ruined it literaly loses it’s interest. How the fuck can a new player catch up when he has to pay 1000g for a shard bag (on path) , just cause some clowns wants their brel gear +20 instantly.
AGS won’t do anything about that cuz they literally don’t know how the AH works. They don’t know anything about the game.
