I’m writing this as a “new” player in Lost Ark. Currently I’m roster 57 and there’s a few things I’d like to adress as someone thats fresh to the game, enjoys it and spend quite a bit
I’m not gonna get into whaling etc., in my opinion its fine as it is right now or I can’t have an opinion on the matter due to my inexperience.
I guess by now everyone has seen, read or heard about this letter
I don’t understand why you cant put uncut Ability Stones into the roster storage, you arer most of the times forced to sell or dismantle them. For example if I were to drop a support Ability Stone, I can’t utilize it on my DPS so I’m forced to put it in AH or dismantling it.
I’d also love to be able to put Accessories into the roster storage at the cost of 1 entry out of the usually 3 ones. So for example if you put your Necklace into roster storage it will have only 2 trades left. Some might like this change because it reduces Pheon consumption, others will disagree.
There is the unofficial Lost Ark discord that has been used so far, it has very in-depth class guides. Maybe start a collaboration and have the mentors/class masters there provide you with class footage so you are able to launch a new education series for newbies to pick up on.
I personally dont like the change to Legion Raids making them easier. Maybe introduce rather a buff with damage reduction to certain groups but if you change the mechs now, almost every raid guide to them on youtube or anywhere else will be useless.
I like the changes to honing system but what would really make more sense to me is, if Powerpass would also provide honing chests so it makes more sense to just buy the powerpass rather than knowledge transfer.
This is so far my stance on the matter, if something else is gonna come up i’ll add it here.
Simple answer man. Game wise from player perspective - Totally no sense why you can’t add them to roster storage. From business point of view - it cost pheons, pheons are directly linked with premium currency, premium currency cost money (even if you buy from other players BC to buy pheons, it’s still someones money into the game).
It’s thought out plan in my opinion. Game is made so you need to play alt’s. Which leads you into saving free ones etc, for weeks (making you put in time into the game) or makes you buy pheons which leads into companies profit. Win win in both situations for company, for player- not so much.
To touch on legions and argos part:
Argos mechanic nerf is quite a joke in my opinion considering it almost has not much mechanics and new people can clear it week after week and learn mechanics bit by bit (usually higher ilvl people carry, so they can observe what’s going on and learn). And Argos is not so important as legions. What should been done for new player is gold nerf on him (changed maybe on ilvl). 1k gold for argos for new player is a joke.
To the legions - one content which could be considered harder then rest of LA. Want’s to nerf it. Okay. I wouldn’t mind nerf if vykas and valtan would be only nerfed in Normal mode version. HardMode version shouldn’t be touched at all in my opinion. Because new players will start with normal version which could be nerfed and they learn mechanics there in a week or two and later on try to adapt to hard version which doesn’t have like a lot of different mechanics.
Like valtan: maybe HM has triple counter (if dps is lower) and stagger check and that’s it.
Vykas: can’t fail gates at g1 and g3 medusa is not always empty + 1 5 7 11 pos red orbs at the end.
