Roster Strategy for the future

Precisely why i’m planning to park at 1400 for a while, and only after everyone is 1400 i’ll start heading to 1415, which is valtan territory.

Losing oreha is very annoying in exchange of valtan, and as you mentioned comes with many costs. Argos p3 + oreha sounds good enough for me rn.

dont forget the benefit of rng luck with being able to farm relic gear at 1415, and the needed time for argos p3 + valtan nm instead of argos p3+oreha hm x2 is not really higher. + desku is more relaxing than yoho x)

Given that i haven’t dropped a single good relic piece so far, i’m not very thrilled by it xD
But yeah valtan and descaluda are probably good points, however i still rather first get more characters to 1400 instead. Worth mentioning that they do not have enough mats for 1415 yet either

That’s what I mostly do as well. I have pushed my alts to 1395 because it’s really free at this point, and I just funnel the leg honing books we get on one of theim (he’s 1400+ already). I have pushed raw a 1430 already but that’s because I wanted to have an alt doing legion raids with friends. Oreha + Argos is already a decent amount of golds income, I’ll just slowly push my alt one by one using catch-up mechanism.

so you made alts for main account progression?
my each alt is just different gamestyle. tho only support ill have willbe artist

Interesting debate here, with very nice ideas.

A little offtopic question (long term planning):

I have six characters now (1460, 1415, 1415, 1415, 1385, 1385) but I am planning on creating more when new classes come (probably 10 total after summoner scouter, arcanist and artist came, maybe reaper also, who knows).

What do you think are the correct itemlevel spots for the ones that dont generate gold and why?

I think about 1370, but by the time that happens in 4-8 months, probably dont generate anything that people need right?

So asuming in the looonng long future I will have:

2x 1500ish to do breshaza
4x 1430 to do vykas

What about the others and why? i think 1415 for fun with Valtan (even if not gold) and some relic stuff is nice, but will really worth it? Will relic stuff worth something at that point when those classes are released?

Personally goal is to have my main and main alt (support) at the most recent content drop, though main will always be highest and priority for content clear. I plan on getting my alts to 1445 as a perfect park and my top 3 characters to relatively high content. So for example top 3 being main at current goal in mind 1505 then my main alt (support) at 1490 then the 3rd is up in the air but may be park at 1472. Then my bottom row will be 3 1445s producing gold and mats that can be exchanged for the new materials when brez comes out.

1x 1490 (1502 before Abrelshud) and 5x 1445. That’s what makes most sense.

1445 kinda doesn’t make sense.

Either 1430 for two legion raids or 1460 for both hard modes and higher ilvl guardian.

btw, is this for supps the upgrade plan or for dps, or in general? what would a support upgrade plan look like? as we dont need high weapon

@ mikihisa

my strategy just play and wait for catch-up events.

Having access to full relic sets, valtan hm gold and the ability to comfortably bus Argos P3 doesn’t make sense? Alright then. Fun fact, you most likely won’t get pugs on EU/NA doing Vykas HM on ilvl for a very long time. As far as alts go, Deskaluda jail is more attractive than Ice Turtle aswell.

Also, 4x3 on legandary at 1445 is still decent where at 1460 you are already expected to transition into full relic accs. Not to mention that 1445 is the next best Lopang parking spot on top of the above.

hey RAV91, how do you like wardancer? I have a hard time deciding if I want an alt wardancer or alt scrapper, or both since we are getting a free power pass later this month.

You can get full relic sets just from normal modes. Takes longer, but you get there. Not to mention that a lot of sets require more Vykas mats, so you doing HM Valtan and NM Vykas doesn’t do anything for set progression because you wait for Vykas stuff, anyway.

You also get only 1.2k more gold, meaning it takes a while for the honing cost to pay off.

and the ability to comfortably bus Argos P3 doesn’t make sense?

If you want to 2man bus comfortably, you need lvl7 gems and 4x3 setup at least. Which takes gold. Getting lvl7 gems compared to lvl5 is 50k gold extra. I’ve seen too many 2man buses fail even at 1460ilvl, I’m not joining any if I don’t know the people. But that’s just me.
It’s already down to 1.5k per player, so that’s just 3k gold extra per week if you do 2man instead of 4man.

Alright then. Fun fact, you most likely won’t get pugs on EU/NA doing Vykas HM on ilvl for a very long time.

And guess what, doing Valtan on ilvl with shitty gear alts won’t be much different. If you’re doing it with randoms, that is. Idk if you noticed, but like 90% of alts have horrible gear if we talk legion raid content, regardless of their ilvl.

Also, 4x3 on legandary at 1445 is still decent where at 1460 you are already expected to transition into full relic accs.

There’s more to it than accessories. Just +3 tripods across the board are more damage than an extra engraving on a lot of classes. And most people barely have any tripods on their alts.

Not to mention that 1445 is the next best Lopang parking spot on top of the above.

I’m going to get my 13th Ignea within a few days by just doing wandering merchants and I’ve already finished all the island rapports and I never did any lopang on any of my alts. You know what’s better than lopang? Actually doing chaos dungeons on your alts. Gives more silver.

You can’t craft relic pieces before 1445. Stopped reading there.

Oh really, interesting.
Still, you can get all the mats.
Then you can push 1445.

Anyway, idk why am I even saying anything.
We ran numbers many times, it’s at least 4 months for alts to start paying off. You invest because you want to play them, not to generate more gold. Everything else is just grasping for straws “lopang parking spot” lmao.

“I got caught not knowing what I’m talking about, stop strawmanning”

You can’t make this shit up.

ofc you invest for generating more gold, in a longterm view. it’s about ~23-25 weeks for ROI, or you plan stopping after this period?

he won’t even be able to effort a 20-21 gear piece unless he buys silver for gold lmao.
quite unlikely that the great mr is able to maintain the silver cost of 1460 alts main honing beyond 1490 just by running chaos.

That you? Bold statement from someone who’s silver starved and needs to rely on the pvp vendor to barely get by.
