My primary question is about gold rewards. I’m assuming that the 6 character gold limit is roster bound, not account bound. Meaning I can raid 6 times on my main roster, then still raid and collect gold on my back up roster (on a different server) correct?
I currently have 6 characters in T3 and another two in T2 (I really don’t like these characters). I’m not 100% sure how I feel about my current T3 “main 6” roster, so I’m hesitant to take them past 1340. I’ve been wanting to try out some more classes but don’t really feel like buying the slots for characters that will eventually be useless (nothing more than lopang slaves). In the short term there really wouldn’t be a benefit to having the second roster, but over time with punika powerpasses and express events dropping etc, I could max out an entire second roster with minimal effort. The most tedius part by far would be re-doing collectibles etc.
Another gray area I’m unsure of would be transferring gold cross server. I know you can use the Auction House but I’m not sure if this is against ToS. Theorhetically, once the 2nd roster was raid ready, you could just log on once a week, Raid, and funnel the raid gold to your main roster. That would be the long-term benefit.
pretty sure it is against ToS to have more than 1 account, but not having more than 1 roster (i mean that would be ridiculous). Buying your own stuff form AH isn’t really forbidden.
It is a grey area which probably will never be enforced unless some bots abuse this stuff or whatever.
The issue is that not only you have to regrind everything, but also your honing buffs are gone and if you play in the same region (just other server) I am pretty sure you also don’t get the free power passes (2 times vern, super express and feiton, if used already on your main roster)
pretty sure those 10 eur invested in a char slot is much better than wasting 500h on maxing out another roster. Even 60 eur is better than 500+ hours xD
It’s not necessarily the cost of the slot so much as the fact that every character past 6 is only really good for generating lopang silver. But if the express events and power passes are “per account” rather than per roster, then yeah that’s way too much work lol…
A side bonus I was hoping for is that I’m on a less populated server because I went to one that streamers were going to… They brought a shit ton of people with them at launch but when the streamer stops playing all their followers dip as well. I’d say Galatur is a bottom 2 server for population now, only based on the fact that it’s one of 2 servers that I never see as “busy,” even during peak hours.
It takes approx. 22h to finish story line doing absolutely minimum. Remember that all the runes, skill points etc. will stay at your “primary” server and you will have to grind everything again on the new one.
I think some CM has answered that question but you will have to search forums for it, basically they said that playing on different server on the same account is fine.
Anyway, if Smilegate manages to scrap some RMT detection tool it would flag you if you use the Auction House method to funnel gold into your main server. (That method is as old as MMOs themselves btw)
Again, this isn’t a short-game type of deal… I’m talking about putting minimum effort into the alt roster and collecting the free catch-ups. We’ll be getting free punika power passes and new express events periodically… My options will either be to let them expire, buy more character slots so I can use the gifts just to park those characters in lopang, or boost an alt roster to eventually collect raid gold… Yeah collectibles would be a pain in the ass but I’m talking a year or so down the road… Not to mention, gold can buy you the vast majority of the ipactful collectibles. Rapport, Una’s, etc can all be bypassed with gold (and passive time-gate waiting). It’s just a matter of whether or not I want to spend the money on the character slots just for lopang slaves on my main roster.
