@Roxx Is it intentional you can save tripods and then sell the armor piece after?

Thats where pheons work as intented

You are absolutely incapable of reading child. Go get your milk bottle and take your nap.

What a moron.

The person was asking if you can transfer the +4’s onto a piece of gear and in effect have infinite attempts at transfering. Not about the inventory system.

Then again, can’t expect much when you’re dealing with pre-teens who are cranky.

Go to bed before I call your parents child.

except they hand pheons out like candy and you never have to buy them, unless ur buying t2 gear for ur alts.

lmao. you should really remove your self from online discussion’s that’s all ill say about that.

LMAO. LMAO. LMAO.

You should learn to use your brain before you end up begging mommy for money for character slots.

C*nt

Reported.

And by that logic someone wouldn’t buy it at 2 trade limit either because they wont be able to sell it to someone when it’s 1 trade limit, and by extension nobody would buy it at 3 trade limit either because they wouldn’t be able to sell it at 2 trade limit.

If the price is low enough to offset the risk it will sell, someone will buy it at 1 trade limit if the price is reasonably low enough, and that should work all the way up the chain, the farther the item is from being untradeable the more valuable it is.

No sense in trying to use logic with people who are incapable of firing off two brain cells.

Your speaking on how the systems theoretically work, but i can tell you right now it doesnt work that way at all. i have sold all 3 of my BiS 4/3 Tripod items for the same amount i bought them for.

Exactly, as i said you got a good deal, someone along the chain will 100% have to lower the price and eat the costs of what you gained, it SHOULD be spread out throughout the whole chain but that won’t always be the case.

And I’m saying that will almost never be the case.

Firstly,

Getting 3 +4 tripods on your bis skill will cost hundreds of thousands not pennies and thats for one piece. Its extremely rare to drop 3 +4s on BiS skills, so rare in fact you are more likely to drop BiS relic accessories.

Secondly,

It loses value everytime its purchased and resold because last person buying it will not receive the money back they spent to get it. Pheons may be nothing for you but it is a large factor for many.

Thirdly,

This is related to first thing I said but if you cannot find BiS 4/4/4 tripods you usually will have to try and make your own bis 4/4/4 tripods, which means you will have to use the transfer system.

You will end up having to use it because its simply very rare to get them all 4/4/4’s

All in all tripods will take a lot of time to set up for anyone, I was diligent and got a lot of +3 tripods (level 4) and only got 1 that was worth selling for 2k gold at the time.

Don’t know why you are trying to argue because the system is least rng dependant thing except you need to find the damn piece.

It has to be the case, there’s no way it would not be the case. As you are viewing it you are saying that the item will sell for 50k all the way until its at 1 trade limit and then nobody will buy it, that just means the person who bought it at that point will have to lower the price most of the way to be able to sell it and eat most of the costs, if they fully understood the system/value of the item they wouldn’t buy it for full price, they would wait for the price to lower a bit so they aren’t eating the entire cost themselves and that works it’s way all the way up the chain.

Will it always work out perfectly that every step of the chain is eating the exact same cost as the next? No of course not, with the variety of tripod combinations the prices will never stabilize that much, but it has to work out generally in that way there’s not really any other way it can go.

its in place so that tripods can be reused for other players and are part of player economy, right now you will essentially lose no gold buying and reselling because demand for lvl 4 tripods is somewhat high and the supply is still very low so people do not distinguish much between 3 trades left and 2 trades left but as soon as the relic gear gets more common this will happen and the gear will lose value everytime its purchased and resold

Multiple people already explained it, but I’ll make it very simple for you, so that maybe you can understand.

Three trades allowed.

-item sells with 2 trades left for 9k gold
-reposted with 1 trade left for 6k gold
-reposted with 0 trades left for 3k gold

Each “charge” is worth 3k gold. This is how it’s supposed to work. Obviously it doesn’t always work like that, but it’s not a fault of the system, but rather due to players having no clue how to value things and failing to take into account number of trades left. It doesn’t help that the supply for good tripods is so low atm (especially on underplayed classes).

You said you bought one for 50k and then sold for 50k. Well, you either got a deal and underpaid for the item, or the person that bought it didn’t value it correctly and overpaid. Either way, you made out good. Be happy.

It is intended and how you build your tripods…

Can get you get all 18 tripods to level 5 like this? Sure.
Will you? Probably not.

And in the long term, SG has said that they want make changing gear tripods a lot easier with a library-type system (like for engravings). So having tripods be expensive is not a long-term goal anyways. So will this be nerfed? No.

They don’t make any money from tripods (or engravings) so I bet they don’t really care much that it is easier with trades. And you reselling it back for 50k was just lucky.

xx

You have 2 presets so you swap back and forth and ad until you get 3 on each piece, this is extreamly useful and the only way to build your tripods in a efficent way… what are you people even talking about here?
