I expect to see a huge amount of compensation. I was a big supporter of Lost Ark but I have spent the last day absolutely trashing it and Amazon on every public platform.
Shame on you Amazon for remaining silent and hoping this just fades away. Absolutely pathetic. I will never spend another dime on one of your products.
Well i finally got unbanned.
However the issue doesn’t end here. Many of us want to know why exactly we where banned. Was it a false flag? Is my logitech ghub interfering with anticheat? I have no idea. And neither does the support wich i have been trying to contact all day and met me with coypaste bot answers.
So, my 3 day ban ended early, we still basically got no comment from Amazon regarding whole situation, we are still get accusations about be cheaters/botters/RMTers because Amazon don’t want to clarify whole situation at all and this feels terrible.
From now on would always play with fear in my head that i can be banned at any point and loose my account i invested myself and my time in, this is not how players should feel, if you made a mistake and false banned people in a wave at least admit it so we don’t got “CHEATER” mark for ever, if we are guilty for some reason at least give us some info, if you are standing before court at least you know what accusations are and you have chance to defend yourself, we never got that chance there.
For now i lost my hearth for game i love and i can thank only Amazon for that i hope this is how you want you players to feel there @Roxx
Looking for an actual statement from amazon on this issue. I want to buy some crystals but with a possible ban around the corner I am holding off. Any clarification on what triggered this or how I an avoid a false ban?
Yeah just like most people my suspension was lifted but even so it’s still incredibly disappointing to see they have yet to release a proper statement about this issue. It sucks not knowing what exactly caused this and being branded as a cheater for no reason. Are our accounts going to remain flagged with 1 strike because of this?
I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one. I have been completely avoiding using the in-game auction house to buy skins because you can potentially get banned if you buy a skin someone refunded; and you have zero way of knowing. It is a permanent ban.
It’s been 2+ weeks and they haven’t said anything but “we are looking into it”; basically like they did here earlier. Meanwhile Amazon CS remains the same and I watch everyday as another thread is made, where Amazon CS ignores them or doesn’t listen to them.
Although most bans that were false positives have expired, I am sure some remain.
Our main problem is that we fear this issue gets forgotten while we still have some concerns, mainly:
What happens to the legitimate accounts that have been reported as false positives in regards to the number of offenses on record? Does it get wiped? Do they remain?
What happens the next time the account gets another false positive the bot detection process goes awry a second time? Is it an extended suspension? A permanent ban?
I understand that you cannot disclose the exact conditions that flagged an account for a ban following the bot detection process for obvious reasons.
However, most players are now questioning what exactly they did wrong as there is no information provided in the ban.
A lot of people work from home and leave their game running in the background and get logged out due to inactivity.
For instance, can we still have the game open to check the Auction House every 20 mins or does that get flagged as circumventing the AFK timeout?
What is the official statement on this?
The player base also remains in the dark as there is no communication between CS and the users.
The appeal process is present but offers little assistance.
For starters, all replies are automated so there is no real bridge between the two parties.
Also, multiple identical automated messages are sent in the span of a few minutes to a user submitting a ticket (I’m avoiding the term spam, but it’s very akin to it).
Furthermore, some of the automated responses are not updated to reflect the right categorization and still display New World instead of Lost Ark.
All of this adds to the frustration and defeats the purpose on an appeal where exchange is necessary.
I would also like to point out that the information displayed in-game regarding the date of expiration on the ban is erroneous.
In some cases, the account was not suspended for 3 days nor was it lifted on the date and timestamp displayed.
Those two bits of information are already inconsistent and from what I’ve gathered the ban lift seems to have occurred at [time of ban + 24 hours]
This is minor but it’s something to forward to whomever can address this as it also leads to more confusion.
Would it possible to follow up with CS and communicate what exactly happened regarding this issue?
Logging in to the game and noticing bots are still advertising while the legitimate player got banned for reasons that remain unknown leaves a very sour taste and a post-mortem would go long way.
I was unbanned about 6 hours prior but I still am astonished that it even happened in the first place. Probably the worst thing to happen is just people accusing me of being a cheater when I know for a fact I wasn’t. I feel bad for the rest of the players that weren’t unbanned prior to their ban time because I know I would be livid about it too.
I’d also like to stretch out a big ENORMOUS middle finger to the pricks accusing people of cheating. You’re the worst part of our community and you always will be.
most important part is they dont say exact reason why we get banned or give me evidence what i ve done wrong. so why do i should spend further money into this game when i can just can get banned again without any reason. im now more worried next time it wont be 1day it might 3-7days or perma
im unbanned now after 24h but i still havent got any answer from a real person
Regardless of differing opinions… One thing we can and should ALL agree on is not telling us what we did to trigger the punishment is counterproductive.
How are we supposed to know what caused the suspension so we can prevent it in the future?
This is punishing someone without them knowing why, they can’t change or make changes to their environment (PC) if needed. So what’s the point of the punishment? why warn us we were cheating, just straight out ban us.
Hiding this information only punishes the average gamer, not the cheaters at all. It doesn’t put anyone one step ahead of the actual cheating/botting issue. The cheaters will cheat regardless and don’t care about how they get there. They play an entirely different game… they don’t care about the loss.
So now, the false-positive players (like myself) will be less inclined to now support your game, why should we spend when you’re just going to ban us again? and pretend like we’re just wrong/pretending?
I know we’re all trying to frantically do our dailies before reset but we need to keep holding Amazon’s feet to the fire. Keep this topic active and force them to address this mistake. They are praying we let them sweep this under the rug and forget about it.
They knew innocent players would get caught in this. Twisted mindset tbh. Kill a few innocents to save the many. But in this case, they are saving no one. Just punishing their most dedicated playerbase.
I have 7 characters and missed out on two days worth of dailies because of this. This is 42 una’s daily tasks, 14 chaos runs, 14 guardian raids, two adventure islands, a chaos gate and two field bosses. Some weekly events are now in jeapardy.
What will the compensation be? I expect something around 5000 blue crystals to buy this lost progress through the shop.
What I really want to know what what triggers this random “false positive” ban, and how we can avoid it. Is it the AFKing? Is the hitting the auto kick timer?
I want to know how to prevent this from ever happening again. Even though almost all of us were unbanned I still want @Roxx to look into this huge false positive ban wave.
thats no excuse for me when they dont tell mine was false ban. only thing what im asking for is evidence and the exact reason why im banned. im not spending few hundred bucks into the game just to bot or something else just to risk a ban.
i doubt im asking too much here. i want answer from a real person not a auto answer from their bot
