You could not make new characters and exploit the pheons, what happened was it got mailed to everyone’s active character, new characters were not getting the mail.

Yes. People tried to recreate that “exploit” early on, and it wasnt working.
Hundreads of ppl tried to do it, no result.
Ofc its not Roxx’s fault, shes the messenger. But we cant just bite whatever they throw.

Was also surprised when i read this…
When i checked reddit earlier before maintenance someone wrote new characters didn’t get the mail (he/she tried). Only existing characters got it. I didn’t try it myself tho…
Most likely they couldn’t unf*ck everything but also didn’t want everybody to get so many pheons and lose $$$, so they came up with this excuse.

Also the mail was already removed before the emergency downtime. I logged in 30 mins before i saw the maintenance msg.

exactly, this needs more attention, do not slander the playbase by saying players exploited.
you sent mail to chars, not accounts. new chars could NOT get mail

hope people keep making a shit storm about this… I am too tired to do so as it usually amounts no nothing. Im happy for those who decided to exploit early and often, but sad I decided to just log off after finishing my raids last night instead of logging onto all my 10 characters to claim the mail before bed.

I caught the in-game mail early. Pretty much as soon as they were maield out.
In short: I had a reaper in waiting - I chose DB and got it to prideholme. No mail. I used the extra character slot to create a random striker. Same thing no mail. So whoever that was that said “their friend” abused the system is completely false because you simply cannot open mail in trixion at the start. And after that the mandatory 24 hour wait period to delete these two characters.
There is simply no exploit.

Another +1 that theyre lying. I also tried to see if it was exploitable by recreating a new character but it was not.
