The recent price changes are the result of updates made against the current currency exchange rates so that prices remain normalized across regions without significant differences in cost from region to region. Due to this change, some regions will see slight decreases in pricing while others will see increases.
The pricing that was released in Turkey on the day of the update (2/8) was incorrect due to a back end error, and this has since been fixed. If a purchase was made before this fix was in place on 2/9, players can reach out to Customer Support for refunds.
First of all we can see that it was not an unupdated price it was obviously a regional price (I do not know about exchange rates of Argentine, Brazil etc. it would be great if we can get more information from this countries about this topic). And AGS removed it in the worst time they can without announcing it. I guess I should say happy anniversary. Let me explain why it is a regional price with USD/TRY exchange rates. We can clearly see that USD/TRY exchange rate was 13.5201 on 11/02/22 (Lost Ark’s release date on Steam). After that USD/TRY exchange rate only increased and it is now 18.8242. Until this aniversary update you have used 9.65 USD/TRY exchange rate. Can you give us further information about why you removed regional prices. But please give us some reasonable ones nothing like this one. One more thing I did not see any game company that updates prices without notification. And I was definitely not expecting such an approach from a game company that is linked to Amazon. Could you please make us an announcement next time. It will be appreciated. Hopefully any community mod can rapidly answer and does not ignore this topic anymore. Thanks in advance…
Slight changes? As far as I can see from all the information others provided, all the prices have at least doubled, if not tripled. On top of the inflation people in these countries already deal with. It’s a complete scammy move and you guys need to revert it. @Roxx@ShieldMaiden
This pricing will force people to RMT. You can buy 2 of the most expensive AAA games that released lately for the price of 12000 RC pack. And you get what, 3 - 4 skin chests with that? This is way too expensive even for EU and NA players! 4 skins for 100 bucks lol.
At this point i don’t even blame people for RMTing anymore, it’s better to give money to random chinese bot farmer than AGS, on top of being cheaper and faster
Prices incresed to fit the current dollar/currency ratio, at Brazil the price lowered slightly because the price of USDxBRL is slightly lower than when they set up the prices initially for the game
And always the one guy who thinks they know everything because they Googled a bunch of flash economy words, without having any socioecenomical understanding of regional pricing and purchasing power.
By the way only in Lost Ark prices are doubled. I m playing Destiny 2 and Silvers are still same money. You may want to check your data otherwise no one is gonna buy RC. What you want is half of minimum wage in Turkey.
Ah yes, because countries with bad fiscal policy since the GFC is totally not the reason why most currencies have gotten weaker versus the dollar including the euro. Words you can’t understand are automatically “flash economy words.” Tell me about your socioeconomical understanding of regional pricing and purchashing power, because it all just boils down to how strong your currency is versus the dollar. It’s hilarious to see people spew bs without knowing anything, 2.16 USD/TRY since Erdogan presidency vs 19 USD/TRY (he’s still the president btw) and you’re going to blame it on socioeconomic factors and ~regional pricing~, maybe you should vote politicians in that are more open to QT instead of QE, oh wait you’re just going to say those are ~flash economy words~ again.
