Scared to buy from Market

I have no problem grinding for gold, and I’ve been keeping on eye on the market to see what I might be interested in. However, I’ve seen far too many posts about being banned after a purchase that I don’t want to jeopardise my account, just for a shiny new pet, mount or whatever.

Can CM’s confirm it is safe to buy from the Market (not Auction House). @Roxx (Sorry Roxx, only CM I know)

Alternatively, is there any statement from AGS that is applicable.

Don’t buy anything, which is earned from the packs purchased via Steam, and you’ll be fine.

AGS are using outdated software/rulesets. They need to fire their Amazon Book employees and hire people with proper industry experience on how to handle these problems.

I’m aware of this, the problem being I don’t know what items were in the Steam Packs. Do you know if there is anywhere details of what the packs contained?

As long as you don’t buy skins… you ought to be ok.

I think the issue is there are several reports of people are buying these pack items off the market place before someone initiates a refund. Then when the original owners refund goes through the person who bought the item off the AH is getting banned in some weird false flag.

It’s a legitimate concern. It may be complete horseshit like you said, but better be safe than sorry.

For OP, until there is an official response don’t buy skins/mounts that came from the founders or vanquishers packs. Other stuff such as normal gear should be fine. You can find the announcements for the packs on the official updates page, quite far down but they are there.

With a little research I’ve tracked down details of the offending items. An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.
