Selected region is closed

After the maintenance patch for 3/4 I can’t log on. My server is US West, Enviska. The message on the ‘Select Server’ screen is:

Unavailable Region
The selected region is closed. Cannot connect to the server.

This is true also if I try connecting to the US East region.

I’m not using a VPN. Restarted my entire network and PC. Had Steam validate the files and ran the repair for the anti-cheat software.

All other internet is working OK but Lost Ark server selection.

Hello @Games7800, welcome to our forums!

I’m sorry to hear about this issue with your game, I just checked the status of the server and it looks to be Good as of right now.

.

Are you still having issues?

Yes, I’m still not past the select server screen even though server status is showing servers are up. This has been the case for hours now.

Would you mind contacting us via a live channel whenever you are available please? We need some personal information from you which is why we cannot handle it on a public forum.

This issue seems to be something really specific which we don’t have “troubleshooting steps” and I do believe requesting an escalation with our developers might be the best option.

I do want to thank you for your understanding and patience.

Feel free to refer my colleagues to this forum post. I hope this helps, feel free to tag me if you need anything else.

Best of lucks and I wish you have an amazing week!

Found the issue was with my BitDefender firewall. It automatically adds a new rule when a new LostArk.exe is updated by Steam. Each version of LostArk.exe, from the older versions of the game to the newer versions, had their own rule being automatically created by BitDefender. For some reason the newest version of LostArk.exe did not work after the maintenance update.

To fix the issue I wiped out all LostArk.exe rules and made sure to add the new LostArk.exe version to the firewall rules.

I got this problem now, plz help! NA West Mari

i can successfully log into NA east server but not NA west

after I could reconnect by using my Ethernet I got dc and kick from the server and cant connect to NA west region again

I am currently having the same issue. I recently moved to the east coast. I have been playing on NA East since launch. Now that I reside here, I get defaulted to South America and it tells me every other region is closed. I have tried every trouble shooting step I could find on the internet and so far have had no luck resolving the issue. I also submitted a ticket, but have received no response. Issue have been ongoing since 29 July.

Hello @pennywise801,

I am sorry to hear you seem to be having issues accessing this region. Please note depending on your physical location as well as how your ISP routes your connection, you may indeed not have access to certain regions.

I heavily suggest not responding to older topics marked as solved to avoid having your posts overlooked.

Here are some basic thing you can try in order to troubleshoot this:

1- Please verify the integrity of game with the Steam integrity check
How To run a Steam Integrity Check
2- Close other applications that may be taking up your bandwidth.
3- Switch to a wired connection.
4- Restart your router and modem.
5- Troubleshoot your firewall.
-Press Windows + R, type “firewall.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
-Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall and then click Change settings.
-Look for the game in the list of allowed apps and features. If it’s present, make sure it’s checked, and that both the Private and Public columns have a check mark. If the app is missing from the list, you need to add it.
*Click Allow another app…, locate and select the app, then click Add.
*Once you’ve done that, you need to ensure that the app is checked, and that it has check marks under both the Private and Public columns.
6- Test your connection for packet loss or buffering. To test, go here and click the big Start Test button to start the test. Once the test is complete, the results are displayed.
7- Verify you are not using VPN or proxy services. (Note the use of VPN is not permitted when connecting to our servers).

If the issue persists after this, the scenario will require our tech team to look into your logs and follow up directly with other possibly sensitive account information that is best not posted on the forums so it would be best if you could please create a web ticket by going to Contact Us | Amazon Games.

I hope this helps and if not, do not hesitate reaching out to live support.

See you in Arkesia! :wolf:
