Since yesterday I get this error every time I try to log in (server authentication failed 10010) I spent hours trying to fix it, did all the suggested fixes I could find in other posts to no avail.
Amazon technical support are as good as useless. Even after telling them repeatedly that I do not and have never used a VPN they insist the problem is on my end with my network settings, even though I have been playing since launch without any issues and none of my settings have been changed.
Strangely linking and unlinking my Amazon account to Steam worked a couple of times and let me log in, but that doesn’t seem to work anymore either. Amazon may be decent at delivering parcels but they suck at delivering games or support on them. Seems like my static IP is being blocked and no one can tell me why.

This has been happening to players for 2 weeks now, they’re not addressing it and unless someone people listen to (e.g. Asmongold) starts talking about it, nothing will happen.
The only thing I’ve seen work is people calling their ISP and having their IP changed, you might want to try that.

Hello @Caladas,
I’m very sorry to hear about this situation with error code 10010.
Normally, this code it’s related to the use of a VPN since around two weeks ago we put blockers to prevent the use of them, here you can read a post made by one of our community managers explaining this a bit more.
Also, since you confirm to me that this is not the case I will be more than happy to help you in investigating what is the situation.
Could you please reach out to your internet service provider and please ask if they use any kind of VPN service on the router settings, this is because there are cases where some players have reported this is the case.
Apart from this, I hope you have a nice day!
Hi, thanks for the reply.
I understand why VPN’s were blocked in an attempt to tackle the bot infestation. But all the problems started after the May 13th update. I will double check with my ISP tomorrow but they say they don’t use a VPN in all their info. Its PlusNet btw, owned by BT the largest provider in the UK.
Could you answer this question please: How can linking and unlinking Steam to Amazon let me log in once, when I assume that just makes a DB entry on your end, and how this could possibly relate to my network settings or ISP?
Thanks
Talked to my ISP, they confirmed they don’t use a VPN. I can access every other online game as normal. For me this started after your latest failed draconian patch attempt to stop botters, but for others I see the problem has been going on longer.
I understand its the trend these days for support to blame any problem on the user, suggesting that its a problem with their network, firewall blah blah, but its clearly not.
These anti VPN measures (which require a VPN to bypass, ironic huh) which don’t work anyway are ruining my game experience more than any bot ever has.
