The character names are region wide and merges are in-region so no conflict here.

So they’re not even letting you choose which server you want to go to? I feel like that’s counter-productive to what many players who were requesting the merges wanted as they probably want to play with their friends who were on other servers, and instead it seems like AGS is just trying to fix a server population issue.

The char storage thing looks like a valid solution, as long it stays truly free to swap chars in and out. I will have 20 chars or so, so I am curious how smooth the process will be.
That being said, I will miss the communities from the realms that are merged, as that was always so special in an MMO.
I still have some critique tho.
You are going to merge Punika (german realm) with Moonkeep (EN). Both realms are very healthy and fine, both have dedicated communities with their native tongue. It seems counterproductive to merge the biggest EUW realms into a new one, where language conflicts will arise for sure.
I highly doubt that the german players will accept talking english, we had that issue before on EUC and why I moved to EUW on a full EN server.
I am also confused why my EUC realm Antares is not merged, as we are not having any players on it, its the most empty one of my realms EUW and EUC wise.

I pray this is a sort of a test for their Region merge with EUC and close the EUW region completely
@swanson.james I can only guess, but NAW has most of the bots there, and merging servers might cause insane queues.
@martin.ledesma140687 Even if this is the case, they have backups and can roll back if need be.
I’m on NAE Kharmine, and whenever I do matchmaking, it’s always the same four servers. I’ve never met another Kharmine character in the chaos dungeons or guardian raids, but have had multiple people from the same (different from mine) server in the same raid.
Well for South America they are merging brazilian servers together with spanish speaking ones instead of you know… merge by language? Even New World had different servers for brazilians (nothing against them, but reading portuguese 24/7 on chat gets annoying)

Jesus… GUY, look, FEITON WILL BE MERGE WITH ARCTURUS, RIGHT? RIGHT. After this, Arcturus (yes, feiton now are Arcturus too), wil be merge with Gienah, ( which is the fusion of Yorn + gienah), We will be 4 merged servers, with the name of Blackfeng.
In fact, it is quite divided. For example, Agaton, Kurzan, prideholm and vern are the servers with the least Brazilians. The division was made very well thought out in my opinion. You not know wath you are talking about, plus it sounds pretty racist.
Not racist at all, I would be equally annoyed if we get merged with some french, german or aramaic speaking server HAVING THE POSIBILITY of being merged with spanish (or english) speaking servers. Stop trying to be a victim.
And btw, arcturus is pretty much 100% brazilian.
This is exactly why we will not be merged with Agaton, which is almost 100% non-Brazilian.
Maybe I should have started saying that Im from feiton which is mostly non BR, so Im in the brazilian focused side of the merge lmao. I guess Im gonna end up being trilingual with these merges.
Done has MANY Brazilians, MANY! I have several friends there, including Brazilian guilds there. I think from a quantity perspective, I still guess that there are more Brazilians than Argentines or any other region there. Same for Yorn. In the future, with the possibility of switching servers, you can try your luck. But to be honest, here in Brazil (at least me and my guild) we don’t have problems with other languages. The communication barrier only exists if 1 side does not want to communicate. 99% off contents, not need language to do.
Well, reducing the amount of servers in SA is surely gonna be chaotic at first but should also make it easier for amazon to make some kind of Roster transfer from server A to B sooner or later.
It does also allow them to test how this “transfer account from A to B” is gonna work.
In the end having around 3 servers is all SA need as there is really not enough people to keep more servers.
