I have 3 characters that I alternate on doing Chaos Dungeons. I don’t do them everyday on every characters anymore. I only do them on rested bars.
But still the dread of doing Chaos Dungeons is getting worse and worse. It feels like Monday mornings. I feel so bored and dreaded every time I have to go do it.
I have contemplating quitting. I imagine my future with this game. If I continue to do this for years, I am going to shoot myself in the head.
I don’t think I can continue with this Chaos Dungeon specifically unless the higher levels are significantly more challenging and stimulating.
If Chaos Dungeons was your only reason to play this game and you despise it, I suggest you quit too. Chaos dungeons are more like daily warm up, not content that should be challenging and stimulating. I want challenging content too, but I’m most certainly not looking at chaos dungeons for that. Have you heard of Legion raids? Might want to give that a try or two before you decide what to do going forward. If that’s simply too easy also, then there’s not much left.
Yeah Chaos dungeons do eventually get boring, the only exciting thing about them is the RNG now. If cubes or boss rush (or both drop)…maybe even a gold or red portal…
As a part of a daily routine its something I already get bored doing like 4-7 hours a week.
It’s part of the daily routine. And yeah, I find myself doing it rested more often than not after the first couple months.
But nothing is gonna fix it, it is what it is. But when it comes to me, I kinda get bored of anything I’ve done literally hundreds of times a month.
The other content are fine even the daily Guardian Raids (for now). I especially like the weekly abyss dungeons/raids. They are fun to do. Legion Raids are definitely something I will want to do.
I am talking about Chaos Dungeon specifically, that is really killing the game for me.
He/she didn’t say anything about them being the only reason they play. Chaos dungeons are mandatory if you want to progress in this game and the whole point of this post is that doing two on each character eventually becomes so mind-numbingly boring that you want to slit your wrists.
I think there are simple changes, they can do to make it better. Wish they could do something similar to Diablo 3 rifts. Like have us race against a timer, and allow the option to increase the difficulty for better loot. It will make the experience a lot better in my opinion.
Yeah, many things should be changed in this game. Same applies to guardian raids. I can’t imagine any or many people doing two on each of their alts each day, especially if they have like 5+ alts.
I know chaos dungeons are important for progression, but if that’s the main thing ‘killing’ the game for you… You can technically skip it. Your progression might slow a little, but playing at your own pace and doing the content you want is perfectly fine.
Of course, I personally won’t skip doing it on my main while I’m still playing. I don’t have too much alts, but I’ve been resting them already. Some players feel like they are forced to do it, but that’s just fomo. If you can get pass that, then you might enjoy the game a lot more by doing what you want.
For sure dude, the reward structure for everything in this game is weak, so I’m not going to do it anymore unless i have rest. If i fall behind too far, oh well, i hear elden ring is pretty good
Chaos dungeon is burning me out, too. Doing that across alts it’s an hour of just pure brainless grind a day. In a better game, this would be the alternative content for progression if you couldn’t do the real content like Velganos.
Imagine doing Chaos Dungeons x2, Guardian Raid x2, Una Daily x3, Daily Event x1-2.
Then imagine Weekly Una x3, Raid x3 and multiply it by six characters.
Now try to fit in all the tokens and Rep stuff and you have Lost Ark.
This game is literally a list of chores. Most Eastern MMOs are and it doesn’t get better.
I hate to break it to you, but these chaos dungeons are already based on the Diablo 3 rifts, already race against a timer and already have an option to increase the difficulty for better loot lmao
Chaos takes more than an hour each day when you include the loading screens. Doing it 7 days a week does get tiring after a couple months…then again, that’s kinda how MMOs work. I really don’t know how they would change it. The rest system definitely makes it bearable though.
And Guardians 14x a day take like 1.5 hours on average pugging it between loading screens and people not using battle items etc.
