So over in Vern there will be a guy standing by all the dungeons. Should have a name similar to the one in the quest. If i remember correctly he is by the billboard for the Guardian Raids. You can buy chaos shards for silver very cheaply at a potions vendor in the area.
Its been a while and ive only done it once so sorry if the explanation is lacking but talk to npcs in the area. There was a guide posted for this exact quest somewhere ill try to find a link for you
[Edit] the guide seems to not be up anymore. Some people are saying that the item is being sent to the mail box.
Yea I tried talking to the guy who introduces you to chaos dungeons, doesn’t have any prompts available. Also checked the mail, nothing there.
Issue doesn’t seem to be lack of chaos shards as I have some in my inventory, but I bought them from the general merchant to check if that was what I needed for the quest. I think I’m supposed to get a quest item to activate.

Yeah i remember this quest from RU. Sorry my memory is too vague to be any more help. The issue seems to be the same as the one where the npc you gotta talk to is a general npc in all main cities or there are multiple different locations for the npcs required in the quest so it cant post an icon on the map for it. This happens with a few quests. Maybe try the beginners guide npc?
I googled the quest to make sure and the step I seem to be stuck on is part 2: -Interact with the chaos shard given to you by beatrice.
Can’t seem to find the Chaos Shard though.

And there is no F5 icon by the quest? Is there a circle to stand in beside beatrice? Ugh i hate when the quests do stuff like this lol. Its gonna be annoying but just keep trying stuff or googling and youll get there eventually.
Nope, nothing at all. Can’t even put the quest into my questbar on the right. Won’t even let me select it to pin it (the little checkbox on the quest).

Waiiit i think we figured it out.
How many quests are highlighted rn for you? There is a limit.
I put a picture above, it’s only the rapport quest for Beatrice. I also tried it after declining the rapport quest and only having that quest but it still didn’t work.

But can you show me your full quest journal? Like every single quest that is currently active?

And you cant check that box still, even with all of them unchecked huh… Its only showing the continent quests but im assuming itd be the same when youre under the “All” tab right? It looked from the picture that you were in Trixion so this might be a dumb question: have you looked in Trixion yet?
Yep haha, nothing is marked on the map and I ran around the zone.

Alrighty guess just play other quests for now. Keep it in the back of your mind and ill check up on guides for you from time to time. Im at work rn so i dont have my pc. Hopefully someone with fresher experience will swoop in and save us both.

FYI, for those still having this issue.
after a lot of thinking, I realised you have to go to trixion, and activate it there. It can’t be activated once you’ve left trixion. So just use the music sheet thing to go back to trixion, and then activate it from there to proceed with the quest.

The item is in your quest items tab at the bottom left of your inventory, go to Trixion and activate it there.
